  1. SURVEY: Are 8 GOAT modes necessary

I guess it depends on your dealer. I have all modes to include towing and have been in twice for warranty and twice for recalls and they didn't say anything.
  2. SURVEY: Are 8 GOAT modes necessary

    Add it in Forscan....
  3. SURVEY: Are 8 GOAT modes necessary

I use Normal mode most of the time. Early in the hunting season I'm in rock crawl a lot . Later in the season (Dec-Jan) I find myself in mud/rut mode for snow and to overcome the deep ruts created idiots that are in constant 4-wheel high on our muddy dirt trails.
  4. 2.3 vs. 2.7 vs. 3.0 engines after 100K miles (wear & tear assessment via teardowns)

Absolute garbage video. I stopped watching it at about the .00000002 mark.
  5. Filson Brand - Not a Good Start

True, only 52% of those that earn "useful" degrees return to prison within 3 years upon release. But then, only 33% who receive vocational training return during that same time period. Places like Danville Correctional Center offer courses such as " A Guide to the Challenges and...
  6. Filson Brand - Not a Good Start

"Three strikes"?? "Roped in", what is wrong with people?? A friend of mine of over 30 years was a customer waiting in line at a store in California and was murdered by a 32 year old during a robbery. The ONLY reason that piece of shit got life was because it was his THIRD MUDER CONVICTION...
  7. Filson Brand - Not a Good Start

All kidding aside, Filson used to be the Gold Standard for outdoor gear and I own a number of the old USA made items. Unfortunately, todays market allows once premier outfitters to sell offshore sourced garbage at premium prices. I switched to Duluth Pack many years ago for back packs and...
  8. What Percentage of Owners Off-Road?!

At the moment it depends on what keys are in my pocket. Maybe the Bronco or maybe the Escalade for the daily driver. Right now between cheat gras, fox tails, rattlesnakes and wildfires everything in the hills are off limits for my dogs. Come September 1, that will change and through the end...
  9. When off-roading, do you use goat modes or do you manually configure your Bronco?

Depends on what day it is. Off-Rodeo made me realize the usefulness of Goat Modes but I let the terrain dictate Manual/Goat Modes. I don't use the lockers that much especially the front and find myself in Baja Mode a lot just due to the dirt roads where there are some slippery spots. When it...
  10. New tires 2024 Heritage Edition with Sasquatch Package

I dumped my Goodyears at 900 miles and went with MT Baja AT's. Highly recommend if you spend a lot of time in the pointy rocks like I do. Highway, well not so much as they are a little loud.
  11. STROPPE -Baja- and her mods!

I am curious of the dimensions or MT part number though if you have them.
  12. STROPPE -Baja- and her mods!

Which is why I'm holding off on those wheels.
  13. GMC Jimmy is under development

hell, they all look like 4Runners.
  14. GMC Jimmy is under development

When my dad became a journeyman mechanic making about $7-8K, he worried about making payments on a $15K house. Now most folks who make $75-80K are forced to spend $600K for a home, or more. My first house was tiny and $13K. Glad I bought my current home via a 2%VA loan 25 years ago. The...
  15. GMC Jimmy is under development

When I fist started driving, gas was $0.23 a gallon and we averaged under 10 MPG and didn't care. Hell, taxes alone are 8 times that now is some states.
  16. GMC Jimmy is under development

I'm so glad I am old enough to remember what real cars looked like. Buick did not look like a Chevy, Lincoln did not look like a Ford, and Chrysler did not look like a Dodge. Now every Mid-Sized SUV, Full Size Pickup look the same and American cars are almost a thing of the past.
  17. What boots or shoes do you wear when wheeling?

Oh I did, for all 5 pair:)
  18. What boots or shoes do you wear when wheeling?

Your welcome! Yep, they are way better than issue Jungle Boots (I still have two pair from the Green Hell). They have become a little spendy, my first pair was $124 I think, but they are worth it.
  19. What boots or shoes do you wear when wheeling?

Except for the late fall/winter months, I wear Goruck Jedburgh mid's when I'm not traveling for work. They are coyote canvas with drain holes. Too bad they don't make them anymore but I do have their black leather (three pairs for winter use) and these...
  20. Trail ride today, does this tire look ok?

I make a pretty good living but not so much that I would take a 911 muddling. If I had one it would be the GT3 and it would sit in a bubble in my garage.
