Nice write up. How do like not having an actual rearview mirror?
I’m getting used to actually look at it again since it was basically useless for the past few years. I also like that since it’s a screen you can angle it however you want. Meaning I have it set up where if I disable the screen with the bottom button I can clearly see my kids in the backseat without turning around

Hey I guess I can jump into this conversation. I have also installed the Wolfbox G900 pro in my Rig.
I used the following
1. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088P4VFQ7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
2.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Y5G53QW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
3. OEM bracket from WolfBox
4. Gorilla Glue double-sided tape.

By using the Dongar Ford adapter, I did not have to run the wires to the fuse box. So I used the OEM bracket, removed my mirror, and installed the adapter inside the front collision cover.. It all fit well. I then used the double-sided tape and put the USB underneath the cover.

I ran the GPS wire down the driver's side A-pillar, and brought it out to the middle of the dash, next to the USB ports. I ran the rear camera wire down the passenger side running it along the top behind the covers for the side airbags. I ran the wire to the middle of the rollover bar cover, and that is where I am. When my Armadillo top finally gets delivered, I will run the camera to the top of it, just inside the glass. I had considered putting it outside by the spare tire, but I feel mounting it inside at the glass will be just fine.

Love the Wolfbox. It works great and was a good purchase.

That adaptor for the OEM mirror is awesome!

Good write up. I just installed my G900 Pro last weekend. I did an add a fuse and ran my rear camera along the passenger side and through the tailgate to mount it right above the factory reverse camera. I needed to get a 6' foot extension cable for the rear camera. I use outdoor plastic velcro to mount the rear camera.
Seems like we did the same routing but I didn’t end up using an extension

put my camera on top of the factory camera. I was about 2’ feet short of cable the route I took so I needed an extension.

Ohhh! Yeah I see. It was just about perfect length going behind the wheel, definitely made me nervous!

Finished up my install of the rear camera. In the end, I ran it inside, as lol I could not find where my 3rd brake light went to, also was not sure if I had the wire to run it outside. Looking at the camera mounted to the Ford cam is not a bad idea.

What I ended up doing is mounting it inside in the nook. Since I have the molle panel on the rear mounting it closer to the molle kind of skewed the pic. Where I have it now, it shows the full rear of the glass and besides the checkerboard, it looks good.

Yeah, the four door likely needs the 33’ extended cable they sell to get outside. I ran to the top of my third brake light on my two door going around the passenger side glass, down to the floor to the tailgate and had maybe 6” of slack in the cable.

Mine's also on the backup camera. Do yall get as bad glare from headlights?

Wish I could get it mounted up higher. But, soft top.

Mine is similar
I had a Jeep grand Cherokee with the factory camera mirror and I hate to admit it, but it was so much better. Much higher resolution and much higher refresh rate, and it was mounted high up on the rear tailgate so there was no glare, as well as being more where you’d expect the perspective to be.
oh well. This is still better than the view I have without it (I have the speaker bar)

I got the anti-reflection cover for the mirror and this is the hardest protector screen I’ve ever put on and I’m really good at installing cell phone ones. It’s a dry installation method and it’s just so big that it’s nearly impossible to not get dust or bubbles. There are ways to get dust out, but because it’s so big when you get dust out more just gets in. I’m probably just gonna pull it off.

Plus it makes it useless as a mirror if the power is off.

I have noticed after a few weeks that my mirror will randomly change screens and act as if something is touching the screen. It seems associated with times I open the window or hit some small vibrating bumps.
