Hey all,

Getting my front windows tinted to match the back.

Thoughts/feedback on getting the windshield done too?

Illegal pretty much everywhere, though several states allow you to tint the top couple inches. Check your local laws.

Also really, really dumb because it makes it really, really hard to see at night. Your windshield already blocks most UV.

You can look into clear UV tints for heat and more UV protection though. Those are legal, because they don't block visible light.

Agree with MilesTeg. My side windows were tinted (came on a used truck) and I can not see squat through them in turns on unlit streets at night. I'm pretty sure running over a pedestrian here would get me a life sentence. So, I added cornering lights for turns (Morimoto 1Bangers). I would not tint my windshield.

I tinted my side windows to match the MIC window tint. I regret it (on my todo list is to get the tint way reduced). At night, I am often rolling down the windows to make sure I can see before turning.

Pretty sure they are ~30%. I will probably reduce it to 70% like my truck, which has never given me a problem.

Yeah, mid winter it gets dark here around 4:00, maybe even earlier with heavy overcast. Last thing I want to do is run over a child. But it does look good...and leaves the ladies thinking maybe a handsome prince is driving that bad a$$ Bronco. I'd rather leave them hopeful than in sure disappointment. Adding the 1Bangers and activating the cornering light function with FORscan helps a lot.

I had my RAM done in ceramic tint, 18% on the front windows, 70% on the windshield, plus 5% down to the AS1 line. I found it really helps keep the glare down and the AC doesn't have to work as hard on hot days.

I have found no reduction in visibility in any conditions. You don't even notice it's on there until you get into the truck.

The Bronco has 18% ceramic on the front windows and just a 5% visor to the AS1 line, no windshield tint. I can notice the difference between the vehicles enough that I'm probably going to get the Bronco done soon.

Kavaca ceramic 85% would be virtually undetectable yet block 80-90% of UV and keep you way cooler. Not all ceramics are equal Kavaca 85% has zero haze at any angle which is priceless and will cut sown on some glare.

I did the windshield 50% (one step from almost clear 70%), and sides 35% (one step from (50%). Also depends on the vehicle and interior color, mine had a light (roast) interior

Huge improvement for front glare and side heat, but not too dark. Just tell the tint guy you want to go moderate

I find having my windshield tinted helps at night from being blinded by some of these LED headlights on certain vehicles
Everyone has an opinion on it so do as you like and yeah its illegal most places.

Here is what an added 20% ceramic looks like on the fronts and 70% ceramic added to the windshield looks like. Also inside view. If you're in a rural area at night it's a bit dark, but nothing TOO crazy.
