I'm confused. Are you guys saying your windows drop an inch or two every time just by hitting the unlock button? Different from the click unlock and HOLD while all the windows go down?
No, no. The glass needs to tuck up under the top of the door seals (frameless windows). Pretty well all cars with such have a nudge down feature on unlock and door open. It prevents undue stress and (very annoying) vibration of the window moving past the seal that blocks its path. It was a common complaint that the Bronco did not have the nudge feature for a very long time (year/years?).

So Ford got it into new Broncos and then rolled out the feature to existing Broncos.

Now, apparently, they have botched the nudge feature so badly it must be removed for all.

That doesn't seem to be what the OP is talking about though.....he said "The windows still do nudge down when opening ones doors. However, they no longer nudge when unlocking with the fob. They may have sped up the nudge but that's very difficult for me to discern."

Guess I'm confused because that drop down when opening the doors has nothing to do with unlock, as was indicated in the opening post. I have no idea what nudge feature when pushing unlock is.....the only close thing I could think of was the ability to push unlock and hold it down for all the windows to drop (I think they stop when you release unlock, so you could just do a short vent position if you want).

Removing the nudge when opening would make everything worse. For example, one of my rear doors doesn't drop quickly enough and gets caught often.....I know it does that so when I open it, I wait a second for it to drop before pulling, but often passengers just pull quickly, and it'll get caught.

Late '23 they updated the windows so that they would index, or go down a little, when you unlocked with the fob.

These guys are saying it no longer does that.

You having the windows go all the way down is a high trim thing I think and that hasn't changed.

Windows are now back to the way you and I knew them to be, for everyone. Indexes when you open the door only.

For me the windows still nudge down when unlocking with the fob. Did the update already take place? I just tried it when I left work half an hour ago and it worked like it usually does

Updates don’t go out to everyone at the same time. You probably haven’t got it yet.

I keep pushing the update down the road. I really like this feature since I have one that I have to pull the out the handle while keeping the door closed with my thumb before opening the door.

OHHH, now it makes sense. I understand why this would be a thing to vent some hot air out (and avoid it getting caught on the seals when opening), but I would hate it when it's raining out because water would dump in when you're trying to get in the car, especially without rain channels.

That's not the update....that happens every so often to various windows on mine......run through the window reset process on the affected window(s) and it should go back to normal:

  1. Ensure the Bronco is running and all doors and windows are closed
  2. Open the window by holding down the switch and continuing to hold for five seconds after the window is fully down
  3. Hold the up switch as the window closes and continue to hold for five seconds
  4. Repeat the process, making sure both cycles are completed within 30 seconds

I just got this update. I feel so much more stable now. No idea what it fixed. Wish they would divulge this info. My guess is by some law they have to announce an update. But not the specifics. Again I can only assume it’s to gather info for for Ford or someone else.

Same issue here. Windows no longer crack open with keyfob unlock. What a bummer. I hope this gets fixed in a future update.

I’ll now search to see if this is an editable option in FORScan…
So dumb by Ford. I always used tge fob before opening the door to make sure the window opened a bit.

The windows still do nudge upon door opening but they do not seem to do it fast enough to stop the window from flapping.

As pointed out above the work around is to simultaneously hold the door closed with your thumb while activating the handle. Or just enjoy your "flappy" windows.

I'm curious if anyone else feels there has been a speed up of the nudge when opening the doors? I *think* the flappy has been reduced a bit.
