Ugh. It was a great feature, but somehow Ford thought it should go.

As others have noted it's a bit crazy that windows didn't take software.

The windows still do nudge down when opening ones doors. However, they no longer nudge when unlocking with the fob. They may have sped up the nudge but that's very difficult for me to discern.

Here is the corresponding dialog:

My windows worked flawlessly until the s/w update last week and in the past few days, my rear driver side window has lost its initialization twice. C’mon @Ford WTF?!?

Was it this same update?

Same issue here. Windows no longer crack open with keyfob unlock. What a bummer. I hope this gets fixed in a future update.

I’ll now search to see if this is an editable option in FORScan…

I hoped to get the feature where windows drop slightly upon unlocking with the key FOB. When opening the doors, my left rear and right front windows stick in the rubber weather stripping. I have tried the reset many times to no avail.

Try cleaning the rubber with some dry silicone lube, like PB Blaster Silicone, WD40 Dry Silicone, or CRC Silicone. It's available in most hardware and auto parts shops in an aerosol can.

This is a bit different than the silicone grease, like Syl-Glide or SuperLube, and it will not leave a greasy residue on the glass or anything.

Yup, I had occasional loss of rear drivers side window functionality like full/long click for complete roll up disappearing. Then the overall, "I don't know when I'm rolled all the way up" would also set in. A regular reset procedure would correct.

I certainly hope this needed feature can come back.

What cars that have frameless windows don't have this needed feature. It seems ubiquitous to me.

Hey Brian - thanks for the tip I will pick up some dry silicon and give it a shot.

Several months ago I had the update done on my 22 Bronco. Windows still drop when hitting remote. I just check since reading this post.

Next time the door modules are updated, it will go away.

Yuck. This happened to me when I updated the software last night.
Is this for All model years?

I am an early model year 2023 and the Windows down feature didn’t come with my bronco. I had the dealer add it later on. I understand it was included in all vehicles from July 2023 onward as standard. Are they just universally taking this feature away or is it just because I had the dealer tech sneak it onto mine?

I'm confused. Are you guys saying your windows drop an inch or two every time just by hitting the unlock button? Different from the click unlock and HOLD while all the windows go down?

I never even knew that was a thing.....seems like a terrible idea if it's raining.

That said, I've had various windows have the issue where they lose the one touch and drop on opening the door function.....I just run through the window reset process (a combo of roll up and hold switch, roll down and hold, roll up and hold) and it's fixed.
