It is starting to get up there for the 2021 Brocno, but I honestly lost count and/or don’t think I can count the amount of recalls or CSPs on two hands that I’ve had on the 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid.

Why buy a 1st gen vehicle and then complain about recalls? I've seen this across several other car/truck forums over the years. These vehicles are the guinea pigs. How do so many people not realize this?
You’re referring to America made. My Nissan Titan was first gen in 2004 and never had one recall Japan has a better track record then American made vehicles.
You didn’t have any of the 7 recalls for the 2004 Titan?

no not one recall. Maybe vehicles in Canada were not affected. I believe they were built in Tennessee.
Another way to look at this is that Ford is not just looking ahead. They're ensuring that the products they've sold are being supported and improved. A poor experience is if the OEM ignores the current owners. Ford is recognizing that their processes need improvement and a recall is taking actions to support that.
at who’s time and expense. My nearest dealer is an hour away. You now how the Bronco is efficient on gas NOT. Can afford to shell out 70 grand to sit around in a auto repair shop for 2 hrs.NOT
Last Ford purchase for me. Guess trying to look cool is not always the best purchase decision.

Very true. But still, usually 1st gen vehicles have some kinks to be worked out. It's more common than not.

If I look at all the vehicles that my wife and I have ever owned, the Japanese vehicles are essentially flawless while the American and German vehicles seemt to always have something wrong with them an a long kist of recalls in the 1st few model years

Maybe your real trouble is that you seem to feel the need to "look cool".

Got mine September 2022 and have since put on 63k miles visiting 17 states (multiple 1k trips, multiple 2-3k trips, a couple 5k trips, and most recently a 6k trip). Many of these miles are to get me to remote places, because I prefer to be where people are not 🙂

The only big issues I’ve had are:

1. steering rack started making noises and resisting steering input on occasion (I drove for roughly 10k miles with this happening, including offroad in Moab, Colorado, Missouri, and Arkansas). Replaced under warranty

2. rear main transmission seal failed and was leaking. Dealership missed torquing down one of the top bolts, it felt out, and landed on skid plate after ~30k miles - no issue with that, just had to be put back in. Replaced under warranty

I do not have an extended warranty. I have my vehicle serviced every 5k miles

all the other recalls have been non-issues for me and I have had 0 worries taking this thing anywhere

Not trying to defend Ford at all here, but I’m willing to bet the large majority of people effect by these have never even actually experienced a single issue with them to begin with. If your afraid to drive it, I would just sell it. Life’s too short to constantly worry about these things.
I only had the wiper issue.

I'm feeling left out; no recalls on mine...yet...🤞.

Am worried, however, that I am due for one! 'keep reading about all of the ones here, and other makes/models seem to constantly be having.

wait, I need to add my news to that thread about the 10-speed auto lurching fwd at stops. summary: It does lurch, especially with a cold tranny.

My biggest issue with Ferd is their dealers. When I was Bronco shopping I had 4 deals fall through from 4 different dealers in 4 different states because of either an idiotic 'policy' or them just playing stupid dealer games. If the deal fell though with the one I ended up buying, I would have given up altogether and just bought a Wrangler.

When it came time to replace my F350 a month ago, I went to the local Ferd dealership and it was the same nonsense all over again. They basically made it impossible to buy the truck I wanted sitting on their lot! I drove over to the RAM dealer and drove out a couple hours later with a new RAM 3500. Just for S&G I just checked the Ferd dealers website the the truck I wanted to buy is still available.

I will say, the initial quality on the RAM is heads and shoulders over my last 3 Ferds. We'll see how it holds up long term.

Ferd needs to improve a lot of things if they expect me to ever darken their doors again. If the Bronco goes down for some reason, at this point it doesn't get replaced with another Bronco. That's not because I'm unhappy with the vehicle itself, I'm not, I do like it a lot. I don't trust Ferd head to toe.
