I'm looking at getting a cargo liner for the bronco. I know the Ford ones tend to become waxy after time so I am looking for aftermarket ones. I have pretty much narrowed it down to Mabett and 3W. Right now Mabett is on sale for $90 for the seatback cover and cargo mat. The 3W is $140 for the same products. My question is if the 3W is worth the extra $50 for the same thing? Why?

Opinions?

3W, especially if you get the set with the back mat and 2nd row set backs as well. I have them and they are better then any OEM, WT, or off-brand mats I have had for any of my cars/trucks.

Thick, durable, and don't smell. Not the plasticly trays some other brands make. Good, thick rubber that does not slide around.

I like the material of the 3W mats a lot better, but the Mabett ones have a higher lip/better coverage on the trunk mat. So I'd say it depends on which of those two factors is more important for you

I don't have either of these liners, so I don't really have a dog in this hunt, but...

The Mabett rep will occasionally pop in here to these forums. The 3W rep is constantly around.

I don't know if 3W products are made in the US, but their US office is in New Jersey. Mabett is a Chinese company. I'm not dogging Mabett about that, I have a good bit of their stuff.

3W has a lot of various discounts, and supports animal welfare, huge pet lovers.

So, I can't say if one liner is better than the other - I went a different direction with my rig. But if you are asking if 3W is worth a bit more money, I would offer these as reasons to consider it.

Mabett is just another one of the Chinese mats that everyone sells. Please notice the notches in each side; this allows it to fold for shipping purposes, but I figure it also lets liquid drain off through those same notches.

I bought the Ford product, because it has nice tall edges and a great rear lip that seemed to solve the problems I was looking to solve. I've never heard of it "becoming waxy over time". If it does, I'll deal with that then.

I just saw the 3W today, and would absolutely take a closer look at it if I were still in the market. I do love the sculptured designs.

I had the Mabett cargo area mat with rear seat covers for roughly 3 years, have basically trashed it now. The glue holding the velcro consistently failed on the seat back covers, so it started to curl and peal up wonky. The floor pan started to also curl up and fit really poorly. Not trash talking Mabett, as you get what you pay for especially with Chinesium products. It served its purpose, so if cheap is OK with you its an option. I'm looking real hard at the 3W option now for longevity. Very few options existed when i originally purchased, otherwise I'm usually a "buy once, cry once" kind of person.

I'm with you on this one, I ordered the Mabett ones when I first got my Bronco and promptly returned it and got the Ford mat instead. No clue what waxy buildup is unless they age and lose their gripiness but no issues so far.

If you are just looking for a cargo liner I suggest buying one of these options

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PV5F2L6
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Traffic...door-Commercial-Floor-Mat-MT1003508/206414770

You can then cut it to your desired dimensions. Much heavier duty than typical, excellent traction. I have the HD product, it will stink for a few days but it goes away pretty quickly. Another advantage is that if you have molle panels or other custom stuff in the back you can make it fit

For the carpet on the back seats, I have one of the Chinese seat protectors, works well enough

I bought the 3W, seat backs and matt. I really like it. High quality and I like the design. Only had it a couple months but pleased so far.

I have the complete 3W set which I like and fit great but I prefer the Husky liner for the cargo area as it has raised edges. Acts more like a tray than just a flat mat.
