I have nothing to do with Kenda other than running them on my Bronco. They last well, balance great, are super tough in the Arizona rocks, good in mud and snow, and are very quiet for RT tires. Also great pricing.

Thanks for all of the good responses. Keep them coming. I'm only continuing to love the tires I just got and I'm thinking about possibly going a bit bigger the next go-around.

The rubber kind not the metal kind, although one set has those kinda cords, the others use the regular cord...

Start with 35x12.5 Mickey Baja Legends - ran those for 50k miles. Great tire off road, good road manners. Not very good in snow though (although it doesn't make any such claims, so can't really hold that against it). Excellent in mud and not too bad about throwing rocks.

Switched to Nitto Ridge Grappler 38x11.5 - at the time was the only tire in that size range, lighter weight than most 37x12.5 but get an extra inch of height. Now you can get a Toyo Open Country RT in the same size for about 4 lbs more that looks like a more solid option in that same size range that I'm considering for my next tire. The Nitto has been very good on road - quieter than the Mickeys, I've never noticed them to throw gravel at all, and good about not slinging mud around.

After running these for almost 30k miles, I kinda like the pizza cutter, and the Nittos have done rather well, but they don't get as good of traction off road as the Baja Legends did. That's good and bad - bad in that they slip a lot more, and have a tendency to slide off things sideways if aren't careful about your line. Good in that I would rather the tire break traction than breaking an axle. Haven't really had them in the snow too much, but not expecting too much out of them, as similar to the Baja Legends, they don't make any claims about being a snow tire either. So far the extra height as more than made up for the lack of traction though.

I did have the SAS Territory MTs for a little bit - but maybe 2-3k miles on a pair. They were very good in the snow, but the gravel sling was considerable. Overall the Nittos had better road manners and the Mickeys were a better tire overall - but for an OEM tire it was light weight and did ok off road, and you can usually find takeoffs for pretty cheap. I dunno that I would recommend paying retail for a set, but I wouldn't feel too bad about running them (as long as you don't mind the gravel).
