Used Bronco Bought. No Keyless entry code to change

Bought a 2022 Badlands used from a Kia dealership.

Unfortunately didn’t make sure they reset the keyless entry as the salesman said it was easy with the code in the glove box.

Well the code is not in the glove box.

Called a local Ford Dealer and they want to charge 100 to reset it.

Any ideas to avoid paying for this would be very much appreciated!

Try looking in the fusebox inside the car, I remember running across one of those keycode cards there but can't remember if it was in the Bronco.

In my 23 the code is also in the fold down cover under the steering wheel that hides the fuses.

Try looking in the fusebox inside the car, I remember running across one of those keycode cards there but can't remember if it was in the Bronco.

It's in the fusebox under the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel.

you need to pull the flash code from the keypad and have a Ford Dealer use FMC Dealer to get the door code. these are factory "aftermarket" keypads. no pre loaded code hidden in any kick panels. Google how to get the flash code and then go to your local Ford store with your registration documents to prove ownership and nicely ask for help. Sales department will be more helpful for free than service.

If it was programmed for the vehicle before you can get the master code from FDRS. BTDT. I am pretty sure that it was in there when I was playing with it.

That's for the BCM - not for the door keypad. Same type of card though.

There's also like a up-to-7-minute sequence you can try that will eventually give you your code as it goes through every unique keypress that the code could be. As long as you don't stop too long, the keypad doesn't register it as unsuccessful attempts.

I can't find it offhand, but someone has the sequence somewhere and it takes a few minutes to just sit and push buttons... when it unlocks, you stop, and the last 5 digits you entered is your code.

That's for the BCM - not for the door keypad. Same type of card though.

Correct. The keycode cards that others have mentioned stashed in the inside fuse box access panel has nothing to do with the keypad on the door. Looks the same, but is useless for the keypad.

The only way to get the master code is from your dealer. FDRS, forscan, none of that will work.

Like previously mentioned, the card located on the BCM has absolutely nothing to do with the keypad.

Edit: Or you could try the thing @Brian_B mentioned where you just start entering a bunch of codes until you find the correct one. But that’s the only way around having a dealership retrieve it.

I must have confused it with the serial number of keypad, one of them is definitely in FDRS... must be the serial number of keypad.

It’s an accessory that you can add after you buy it.
Came as a factory option for a couple years, but not anymore.
