1200 mile round trip with one for me and zero issues. I was pushing the weight limit but bronco didn’t know it was there. Ran about 70-75 the entire time. Get a 2-3” drop hitch and you’re good to go. Mine cleared without removing the spare

Thanks for your reply. Great pic too!
I may have taken a 6x12 across the country once.

There's a 'glide Harley in there, tools, etc. I'm not saying it was over the Bronco's tow rating, but... 😂

I had two different ball hitches; one hung a couple inches lower than the other, but that's perfectly normal I hear.

I did use a 12" extension from Harbor Freight which helped greatly.

I had the 4 or 6" drop for driving, but I put a floor jack under the tongue and switched to the 2" drop to align with the ramp to load/unload the Harley. I don't remember if it is 4 or 6" but I had an Icon Stage 4 suspension and the stock 33s on at the time so it was probably 6"

Some Uhaul places will absolutely not rent to a soft top, but... some Uhaul locations just need the money. Be careful either way.
Good info and sweet pic. Thanks!

FWIW, I wanted to rent a very small U-Haul trailer to haul a motorcycle. When they saw that I had a soft top, they absolutely refused to rent to me because of the top. I told them that I wanted to tow it, not carry it on the roof! No dice! You know someone somewhere did something really dumb. That's dumb with a b.
