I feel sorry for the poor bastard that ends up buying this rig

I don't like Getrag (Magna)* transmissions. Tremec on the other hand, has an unblemished reputation. My Dodge 2500HD-fitted NV4500HD has performed superbly for 30 years.Three transmissions and a lot of headache; It's time to sell my 2022 Black Diamond with a manual transmission.
I was so excited to buy a Bronco when Ford brought it back. I put my money down and wanted 15 months for delivery. A soft top, manual transmission, Eruption Green..I couldn't be happier.
I took delivery and right away there were problems. The temporary tags were taped to the soft top and warped the plastic. The front fender well and tires had some kind of paint overspray on them. The dealer was gracious and fixed the problems.
I was appreciative and moved on. About 12k in, the transmission sounded like a box of rocks. Six weeks later a new one was put in.
Six months later, same sound. The dealer rebuilds the transmission. That took three weeks.
At 50k, the transmission went again and was replaced. This time they got it fixed in a week.
The whole time, my dealer was accommodating. They seemed embarrassed more than anything.
I asked if the latest transmission might be a new and improved model so I could decide if I wanted to keep going with the Bronco. They simply could not confirm.
I decided to let go.
Ford, I am completely disappointed. Your company has built cars for over 100 years and still puts out substandard products. I thought you would knock it out of the park with the new Bronco. A great namesake in automotive lore, but nope, you dropped the ball.
Im sure many of you are having a great experience, I love seeing the modifications and pride of ownership. Unfortunately, I didn't get that.
Best of luck, I'm moving on from the Bronco and anything Ford.
This was obviously a waxing problem.First post.
You'd never have had any of these problems had you just waved.![]()

But rather everyone has something to contribute. Joining a forum 4 years ago and not contributing to the community doesn't help.
I have the tremec in my 2008 Mustang GT, and it's probably the best feeling manual I have driven. It's just smooth. I've had a couple of Mustangs with T10's, one with an old 4 speed, and various other older 3 and 4 speeds, not to mention the Getrag in my 24 Bronco.I don't like Getrag (Magna)* transmissions. Over the years in light vehicles, I've experienced Borg-Warner, Muncie and New Process (New Venture), all without issues. In short, GM (Warner) and Chrysler (New Venture) sold out to German foreign aggressors.
*Getrag was acquired by Magna Int'l in 2016 (both German companies) and placed under Magna Powertrain.
This. And the ZF8 in my JL is the best automatic transmission I've ever experienced.OP sorry it didn't work out for you. There's nothing else like the Bronco and Wrangler, at least in the states. If you are up for another go the automatic seems solid.
