Good point... but at that time HOSS 3.0 shocks were ONLY on the Braptor..... they were not available on a Badlands or Wildtrack when the HEL was designed. The HEL was 23 and 24... Now Ford did start offering the HOSS 3 steering rack on all sasquatch in 24, and offered the HOSS 3 foxes on the Wildtrack in 24, which happened to be the last year of the Wildtrack.... BUT the Wild track never had the skids or disconnecting swaybar that the Badlands had..... Yes, it gets a bit complicated when comparing different years.....

And the base price (with destination charges ) on a STROPPE is $77,630 versus $71,580 for a base 2024 HEL. A $6,100 difference........ But, the HOSS 3.0 suspension used to be about a $3,000 option. So that's about a $3,100 upcharge for the STROPPE - for a more expensive paint job and to take out the carpet. I'm "guessing" that the fee Ford paid for rights to use the STROPPE name amounted to a substantial cost as well.

Funny, I think in 2021 the capable bumper was the more expensive option (over the modular) and then Ford realized the popularity of the modular and it suddenly became the more expensive option... Hhhmmmm.....

I didn't want to nitpick the finer details with my earlier post that included the screenshot of the MSRP of the closest comparable Badlands build. For the record, I did option the modular bumper on that Badlands build as I knew the Stroppe had it (ignoring the unique orange recovery points).

But you raise a valid point with the smaller details that are unique to the Stroppe. Many people discount the cost of painted parts, but they can be very expensive after the fact. And one just can't paint the MIC flares (square or round) without a lot of prep. The Stroppe has a painted flare that is a unique part number that is not shared with any other Bronco. Ordering that part from the parts counter (paintable parts typically come in primer ready for paint) and then having it sprayed at the body shop will likely set a buyer back an easy $1k.

No. The capable bumper wasn't an option for MY'21. The Badlands/BD was supposed to get the capable bumper as it was promoted back during the initial 2020 promotional launch period. But it never came to fruition and every Bronco that came with a steel front bumper (FE, Badlands, BD) received the modular bumper.
For MY'22, the capable bumper made it's appearance. Modular was still an option.

There were a lot of cheat codes with the modular bumper. For example the OBX/WT came standard with the plastic bumper but could option the modular bumper which included the front steel bash plate. Heck of a deal for about $800. Ford realized the cost was eating into their profit and made a plastic skid plate that looked like the steel bash plate. For MY'23 Job2, it was standard to get the plastic faux-steel look-a-like skid plate when optioning the modular bumper for the OBX/WT. But what was sleazy was that Ford began sneaking the plastic skid on MY'23 Job1 OBX/WT builds that optioned the modular bumper. The build sheet at the time for Job1 builds clearly stated steel bash plate. The finish on the plastic skid was done in a textured black to mimic the powdercoat finish of the steel bash plate. People only found out by rapping their knuckles against it. Those that caught the deception were able to get it corrected as a mis-build.

I think some would, but then the HEL was supposedly a "limited edition", where the Stroppe is simply another trim. And some might say that the HEL, had a tough time selling the set limited amount, since they are rotting away on lots still.

I think the reason all the HEL's were setting on the dealers lots so long was, because of the Bilstein Shock Recall, which they all had, the dealers were not allowed to sell & deliver them.

If I do an inventory search (500 miles of my zip), it shows exactly 1 Heritage Edition and 63 Limited's, with them both having the recall, it doesn't appear to be the case.

My original 2021 BL 2.7 auto mid order was 53k. It was bad enough forking over 24k more but at least it's not for a non raptor like today.

We have a new 24 BD 2dr mid on our radar, but I am dragging my feet actually buying it as its still 46-48k and doesn't have any of the new cool stuff, but thats not why I am dragging, $$$ it should be a 42k bronco.

Ask your dealer but I believe Ford is offering 0% for 48 months on 2024 Broncos (and Sports) - NO MORE DRAGGING

The Hoss 3.0 package was optional on the Wildtrak for the second half of 22 and standard in 23-24
Both the upgraded steering and the Fox shocks.

Any Heritages built after July 24, 2024 have been sellable, as the factory switched to short flange shocks............. but most all of the Limiteds were built prior to that factory change........ making them unsellable. And I would guess, since the dealerships couldn't order a Limited, they were a little more greedy (imagine that!) pricewise.

When Ford first introduced the Bronco with a $28k starting price I thought alleluia. But somehow now it's turned into a $60k vehicle. Only it's not a $60k vehicle.

Stroppe aside, now that Ford has neutered the 2-door selections, that's the reality. I don't want a base, since I want a painted top (but would like the cloth seats). So the top thing pushes me to a BL, and I don't want MGV so that means leather, which bumps me to a mid trim (IIRC). And the price balloons wildly, even without Sas.

I really can't see myself dropping $60K for one of these things, especially after spending some time in a couple.

For me, I never have considered what others thought of a vehicle that I purchased while driving. The only opinion that matters is my own. It's weird to me that others give a damn what strangers think of what vehicle they drive.

But since you are so hung up on the black tailgate, anyone that can afford $70k+ can afford a wrap or to paint the tailgate if it is that much of a problem.

I just had mine in for the brake booster recall and they had a Stroppe on the showroom floor. I have to say that thing is sharp! Seeing it in person, I was very impressed. As far as the black tailgate...barely noticeable with the spare covering more than half of it anyway. All in all, one nice ride.

When the Stroppe was first introduced I was a harsh critic simply on the paint scheme. Yesterday my auto journalist son brought a Stroppe test model by my house. I must admit my opinion was changed. It actually is a great set up
