Got the Starlink Mini installed on the DV8 overhead cross brace. Works great under the roof. 3D printed a simple mount then added a hand screw. No rattle and sits perfectly so the panels can be easily removed without removal.

Just don't drop the visor clip into the A-Pillar when wiring...ask me how I know!!!! Not sure the upfitter pre-wiring was much help though. They played a sick little joke by leaving a loop of wire out instead of the end tucked back into the pillar. So had to cut back the tape about 5 inches to find which end was which.... in a tight little spot.

Very nice. I like that you made it easy to unmount. I left my power cable coiled up by the unit so I can move it away from my Bronco if I'm parked under obstructions. It's a perfect fit on the DV8 overhead. I used the American Adventure Labs mount. ($$$)

Didn't know AAL made a mount. Yeah I'm glad I went the route I did, one hand screw and I can put it on my teardrop rack or up on the roof rack. If I move it from the Bronco I will either plug it into the side of the camper or use a male to male barrel adapter and the Starlink power cord.

Curious, what do you do where you use so many radios?

How did you mount your comms mic and radio? I have a midland and some handhelds I’ve been wanting to install on my DV8 but haven’t come up with as clean of a solution yet..

This looks great. I’m working to have more free time soon and have been weighing getting a Starlink. This rack seems awesome and now I’m even more inclined

Different radios to listen to different frequencies and they work in different ways. Digital that connects to the Starlink, and will talk to anywhere in the world from anywhere I am. Analog for local and repeater use. Analog to digital. You can get a radio that does ham and GMRS for less than 20.00 on Amazon, I have a couple of those that could be loaned out or given away. I don't listen to them all at the same time, and I normally don't carry all of them at the same time.

oh, sweet! I have a Starlink in my bronco that I attached with the Velcro to my back speaker pod. I might have to look at one of those digital radios!
