Looking at upgrading the speakers from the stock B&O system to better ones. Local business that deals in car stereos has offered Memphis speakers. Anyone have any info or dealings with Memphis.. Looking to go all with the coaxial and 6.5 in the rear.

Realizing my prior post was not especially helpful... No experience with Memphis speakers. But if all you're upgrading is the speakers, no reason to go crazy. Any decent speaker will be fine. I went with Kicker CS speakers and I think they outperform the amp.

I am using the Kicker KS and they sound great. New 100w/channel amp and the Kicker's handle it just fine. For what it's worth, I went with the CS at first but the combo with the amp resulted in a very tweeter forward sound which was uncomfortable to listen to. The KS seem warmer and handle the power and sound range better. Especially the 6.5" kick and rear pod speakers. (I replaced the 4" rears)

I do not have the B&O system, I have the PRX4's on the dash and rear pods powered with a JL Audio amp pushing 40 clean watts to them and they have performed very well for the price. Eventually I will upgrade to Morells (if they ever blow). The mids and highs are clear and provide a good front stage. The rears are for fill only and don't offer a lot other than vague fill. I have not done the Forscan EQ change yet. For the kick panel, I have JL C3 mid bass , and they perform.

I did a rip / replace of my entire B&O system - this is what I used:

Bronco Speaker Setup:

DSP: Mobridge DSP Plug n Play kit - 2300watts/8.1 channels
JL 500.1 Monoblock Amp: 500 watts @ 2 Ohms for JL 12'' Sub.

FRONT:

2 x 4’’ Morel Tempo Ultra Integra 402 MKII - (60 watt rms 140peak)
2 x 6.5’’ Morel Tempo Ultra Integra 602 MKII - (120watt RMS, 220W peak)

Rear:
2 x SSV 2BR-65A pods (60 watts rms, 120watts peak)
2 x Wet Sounds Rev8 (200 watt RMS / 400 watt peak)

Subwoofer:
Kicker 8'' CompR (300watt RMS / 600 watt peak) (stock location)
JL Audio 12'' (external box) run by JL 500.1 Monoblock Amp - 500 watts @ 2ohms

I might swap out the JL box for ported 2x12'' setup, but I'd probably need to upgrade the amp to the JL 1000.1 to really make 'em sing.....plus the box would take up a ton of space.
