I hope you all can help. I just purchased a used set of rock rails and just noticed a broken bolt. How do I remove this bolt? Not sure if anyone knows if it is pressed in or threaded in. I wanted to ask before I work on it. Does anyone have a recommendation on getting a replacement bolt?

I do believe those are pressed in. May be able to press it out with the right tool otherwise drill it out.

Pressed in.

One bolt? You're not going to miss it, those just go through the pinch welds. All the weight is on the the bigger brackets under the carriage.

You can probably get away with mounting it as is. That's what I would do and then go from there

I figured that as much too. Just thought if it was fairly easy I can work on it now while it is off.

Yeah, give it a go!

It's starting to get cold here, and I'm pretty lazy, so that's what I would do to get through to spring

Hit the bracket with heat and metallic persuader on the stud. Or drill it and tap out the guts.

c clamp at the right angle will pop that out, or similar type tool. looks easy to drill as well. alternatively as vahalla states, smack that thing out.
