Hi all. So i got the engine done for the 2.7 recall on my 21 ob. Finally getting a chance to look it over and i have been plugging sensors and other things back in all over the top of the engine. Then there are a few peices i cant figure out what they do or its its a service port or something. The first one is the sensor i cant tell what it is or if something is supposed to be attached to it. Help me identify it if you can. The second one is a broken bolt that was supposed to hold down the pass sode rear coil pack. How hard is it gonna be to get that out? I plan to chave an inperson conversation with the dealership monday. Any advice/guidance is appreciated.

You were able to drive it away from the dealer garage like that and found these sensors after you got home?

I'd be pitching a fit at the mechanics

Not sure about the sensor you show, but depending on how hard it is to get at that bolt, there are still threads showing so shouldn't be that hard to get out. Unless it's not a bolt going in, it's a stud pointing out - and if that's the case... it's gonna suck.

I actually got a response from the dealership Monday to bring it in. They are gonna try and get the snapped bolt out. They also said that the sensor might just be an extra one that since its a crate motor might not be necessary for my truck. I cant find anything to clip into it. Ill worry about my pound of flesh later but for right now im hoping they can get that broken bolt out so the coil can be snugged down. Never a dull moment. Ive replaced engines myself in the past and it always a practice to slowly work over the engine and make sure everything is right and tight. Im always surprised when other dont do this but i shouldnt be surprised i guess.

and i would have done this when i picked it up but it was pouring rain for two days and now was the first day i could look at it when it was dry out.

That sensor is only for later model vehicles. Nothing to worry about. Ford redesigned the crankcase pressure sensor somewhere around 23-24
Thank you! I appreciate you putting me at ease on that one. Hopefully they can get that broken bolt out and lock down the coil pack. What a rollercoaster this has been lol.

So good news. They were able to get the broken bolt out. Unfortunately they had to replace it with an m8 bolt that also isnt a stud. It hold the coil down but it isnt perfect. So now im on a search for the correct stud cause my ocd wont let me be happy with it not being right.
This a to be the part number
Ford OE W716472S439 - Ignition Coil Stud

i found one on ebay but its weird its listed as an ignition coil stud and a taillight stud. But here it is as an ignition coil stud. I understand that it could be a multi use bolt. Just hope im getting the right part.
