If, however, you prefer the HB setup, I HIGHLY recommend skipping the Gen 1 plate and going with their Gen 2 (Raptor or OEM setup) and use the RTR threaded conical fasteners...it will make mounting the new HB Gen 2 plate much easier and more secure.
The RTR fasteners definitely made the installation process much easier to do solo. I didn't have to worry about the tailgate moving around on me during the process either.

You don't have a choice with the OEM hinge without using spacers because it's not a flat surface (It is beveled on two sides and it is arched). The way to eliminate spacers is to use Raptor hinges (which are already drilled and tapped and provide a flat surface with no spacers). The four bolts that are used to mount the OEM hinges to the tailgate are plenty strong enough to keep the reinforcement plate from moving inwards or outwards, and with the eight bolts holding the tire carrier itself in conjunction with those four bolts there should be little to no side to side movement.

First time I’ve seen this combo. So it’s the Hammerbuilt reinforcement for raptor hinges, with RTR adapter hardware kit, on standard bronco tailgate hinges? I’m interested in This as an option. I like the standoffs just for cleaning and paint wear alone.

@broncorik can probably fill you in a little bit better.

But yes that is exactly what I have on my bronco. It allows you to do work on one hinge bolt at a time so the tailgate never moves out of place. Also the spacers are fixed in place so your not dealing with trying to get the bolt in with a spacer behind the plate. Just made it super easy for me to tackle by myself without any assistance needed. The RTR spacers are solid and nicely made.

Thanks! Did the reinforcement plate mounting bolts come with the Hammerbuilt Kit?
I did not purchase my reinforcement plate from hammerbilt so I am not exactly sure. But I would believe that it comes with everything necessary to mount it. If you go with the RTR adapters it comes with everything necessary to mount the 4 bolts on the hinges. The hardware I have on my plate is some stuff I ordered because I needed/wanted to fill some gaps left from the previous owner that tapered the holes meant for the raptor hinges. That is why I have 4 bolts on the top and 4 on the bottom. The inside two bolts are just dummy bolts right now, but would normally be just a small round hole. I decided to keep the bolts somewhat uniform and used the same flat head tapered bolts and finishing washers instead of using the bolts that came with the RTR spacers.

The pdf I attached explains pretty well how the adapters work and has some good photos of them.

Thanks. I just ordered everything to do this method. About $360 all in. Not cheap, but I like how it all works together.

It does work well together...and it is much lighter than many of the other options out there! And Hammer Built is great to work with...

Did you have your hinges paint matched? I kind of like the black it comes in but not sure if that is just a primer coat.

The Raptor hinges came primed...I initially tried to color match them by buying all the products and trying to do it myself, but apparently it was too hot the day I sprayed and I got chalky finish on the hinges after I spent all that time and money sandblasting prepping and then just having it look kind of crappy. I said screw it and took it to a powder coat place and had them powder coated in a matte black and I in a matte black and I was happy with that because it matches the handle on the left and it provides some symmetry.
