this. just like the stock tune knows how to adjust for 87 octane, so does the performance tune.

i'm also wondering / looking into how much of the gains are lost on using just 87 octane...

According to the description on the website and everything else I have read….“ 3 year/36k mile warranty from new vehicle in-service when installed by a Ford dealer or ASE/Red Seal certified technician” Which is crazy and irritating in my opinion.

I have installed tunes from multiple companies on multiple vehicles, and it’s very straight forward and in my opinion, safe with simple precautions like running a battery tender/charger and following the instructions. I would venture to say most of us know more about our broncos than some of the service techs. But I guess an extra $100 or so and some time are worth the coverage.

I wanted to pull the trigger on this and have this installed at my local dealer, but my question is, if I add larger tires or different gears in the future , do I have to take it back to that dealer to make those changes, or will I be able to do it at home?

You can do that at home it’s just the initial install. It has to be done at the dealer.

Quick question: I read somewhere an account linked to your e-mail has to be created before the install. How does the dealer facilitate this (on site, before installation)? Also, will try to get the display recall done at the same time. Any conflict potential?

You should create your account before the dealer install. You'll need to provide them with your login information for the install. As soon as it is complete you can change your account password to a new one.

Something about law changed recently. That's all I was told by Ford customer service.

Ford cancelled mine, told me that, even though it's 50 state legal, there's another list of products Ford can't ship to CA, and the tune is in the list. I ordered from Tire Rack, their sale price right now is close to the Ford discounted price.

I created an account on Ford Racing and gave the dealer my login. Install went seamlessly, and they honored the install price on Fords site, $112 (or $118, can't remember).

If your in the San Diego area, dealer is Mossy Ford in Pacific Beach, two thumbs up.
