was wondering the same. i took one off the other day to reinstall it with the valve stem notch aligned correctly (which happened under the previous owner) and now that i think of it - yeah, it could potentially get in the way a bit.

you could use one of these inexpensive bluetooth battery monitors - it could help determine when the drain is happening. if it starts in the middle of the night suddenly, if it's as soon as the engine turns off, if the battery's already in bad shape, etc.... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZ8D71NY

this. just like the stock tune knows how to adjust for 87 octane, so does the performance tune. i'm also wondering / looking into how much of the gains are lost on using just 87 octane...
