Raptors couldn't use shift matching anyway. Only thing they took away there was removal of Auto Start/Stop.

JB (and almost every other tune) will give you more power and customization.

Ford Performance is an easy to install "set it and forget it" tune that won't scare away dealers (or state inspectors / smog tests) if they happen to see it installed, and right now is the only transmission shift point tune I am aware of, although there may be others. Pro Cal is a take it or leave it thing - no adjustments or tweaking to it at all.

ZFG, 5 Star, Whipple, and Livernois all have transmission tuning.

I'll just add something about this tune, I always need to reapply it after going to the dealer. Even for a simple thing that a valve stem replacement. Whenever they get it, they do something that throws off the throttle. Can cook and serve dinner in the time it take the truck to respond to a gas pedal push. After the tune is reapplied, it works as it should, immediate throttle response.

The only way it can be removed is with your procal device, or by reprogramming the PCM with FDRS.
Unless the dealer is randomly updating your PCM every time you bring it in, the tune cant change.

My experience is FRDS doesn’t play nice with the ford tune. It sees it as an outdated module and shows a software update. If you update it’s basically reverting back to stock.

yeah that’s basically what I said. If you update the PCM, it will remove the tune.

I’ve never seen the other part that you mentioned though. If you update the PCM to the latest calibration and then install the procal, FDRS won’t show an available update anymore.

For instance, when I had my procal installed, it was trying to do an OTA PCM update that kept failing to go through. I updated the PCM manually with FDRS, then reloaded the Ford tune and the PCM showed that it was then up to date.
