Has anyone done a simple drain and fill after installing the PPE pan. No filter change just the fluid you get out of the drain plug on the stock depth pan, not the deep one. How much fluid did that require?
It seems to be right about 5.5 quarts every time I do a drain and fill with the standard PPE. Since 5.5 isn’t even half of the 13.1 quart 10r60 capacity, I plan to do a double or triple drain and fill every 30k and maybe drop the pan with the filter change every 60k.

Wow, that's an unfortunately small % esp as compared to engine oil. Anyone know the refill amount by dropping the pan and filter? I've got the PPE on with an extra 1.75 quarts so that helps the percentages a bit.

if I remember right it only takes an extra quart or two if you drop the pan and change the filter, about 7-8 quarts. Apparently a lot of the fluid stays in the torque converter.

EDIT, THIS NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED. FOR COLUMN 3 I GOT 6 l or 6.25 quarts out for a basic drain and fill.

Thanks. This below should help us all, seems like maybe something @CarbonSteel has already shared here. This is the effective amount of USED fluid left in many scenarios. I assumed a 7.5 quart number for your estimate of 7-8.

Revised. Column 3 now using my actual data. Column 4 is still an estimate.

It really depends how long you let it drain. You can get ~10 quarts out if the pan/filter is off overnight.

I figured you might chime in. Very useful info, as always.
