Is it possible to enable a "global" window close from the door lock button? In other words, if you press and hold the door lock button it not only locks the doors but also rolls the windows up. Which is just what long-pressing the lock button on the remote control does. What is the point of having hands free lock and unlock if I need to fumble for the fob just to roll up the windows on a hot day?

I looked and could not find anything about that functionality, perhaps @Ford Motor Company can pass it on to HQ as something to implement in future versions of the firmware?

Long pressing the lock on the fob will roll up the windows?

I know roll down works with a press then press and hold unlock, but didn’t know roll up worked from the fob as well.

Is roll up standard or a forscan thing?

Yeah just went and tried to no avail, then realized where this was posted.

Good luck with your task.

I did it through Forscan on my 23 Wildtrak. Works perfectly. Used this video.

Wish this also worked for the door lock buttons. Sursosidd that Ford did not design it this way.

Ford 100% will not do this for liability in the US, although it is standard on European models.

Since it's standard in Europe, it's already in the code, and there have been multiple threads on how to enable it in Forscan.

Are you referring to the global windows up via the fob or via the door lock buttons? I am well aware of the former and have searched for info on the latter multiple times but have not found anything. Can you point me in the right direction? My wife's GLC has that and it is very useful.

Fob. I've never personally seen any vehicle that would roll up the windows with the door lock button on the vehicle. That sounds super annoying.

My wife's GLC does it. Why would it be super annoying? Is there ever a scenario where you would want your doors locked but the windows rolled down? Plus, it should be implemented as a long press, just like on the fob.

We normally keep our windows rolled down 1-2" here when parked. Unless it's going to rain, because it's going to be a cool balmy 112 today.

it should be an option whether its remote or door. Right now the only option is to use remote fob, that is what we are complaining about. I don't want to have to take out my FOB I am use to hitting the door lock as I do it on three of my cars.

Yeah but I see the use case for rolling up my windows being: windows are down, thunderstorm rolls in, want to close windows from office.

If I want them up before I leave my car I just tap both levers up.

You’re talking about the actual door lock switch on the door? If so, there is no type of global window programming for that.

Odd, i just usually hit the one touch window up when i park on all the windows that are down before i exit the vehicle. Never thought to ever want to use the lock button on the door to roll them up. I dont even use the lock button on the door to lock the doors. I use either the fob or the sensor on the handle. Interesting use case though. I guess I'm used to some of my previous cars not liking trying to lock the door while its open, with the button, before closing the door.
