Installed the perimeter plus module and LED per all previously-posted internet instructions (of course none come with the part and there's no online access via Ford). What is not clear are the conflicting boot up/registration instructions. Some say none are needed after install, some say sit in the car and hit the start button without starting the car and then manually lock and unlock the door, and some say sit in the car and press the brake pedal while starting and stopping the engine 6 times in a row(!). Tried them all but I can't get the shock sensor to register a bump. Yes, I zip tied the unit as described by all. Yes, I tried turning the sensitivity knob all the way to the right, then all the way to the left, then back again. The led stays solid red for 20 seconds after locking the car from the outside, then drops to a slow pulse. Alarm only goes off if I'm in the car with it locked and open the door. What am I doing wrong??? I'm wondering if I zip tied the unit to tightly? Maybe it needs a little wriggle room? Help....

Idk, but I zip tied mine tight and I just plugged it in and it worked. Not sure if either of these could have an effect, but is it installed on the computer thing in the passenger side kick panel and did you use the jumper?

Yep, attached it to the side of the metal computer thing with cooling fins and attached the jumper. I'll try unplugging and replugging to see if it helps.

Were you able to figure this out? I'm having the same problem.

Eh... not really. It does work, but it takes a much harder bump than many others have reported in these forums.

I just finished installing mine, and I’m having the same issue where I can’t get the shock sensor to go off no matter what I set the sensitivity at and how hard I shake the vehicle. I feel pretty confident I installed it correctly because I’m able to remote start using my key fob (which I want able to do before). I don’t have the optional led addon, so I can’t comment on that aspect.

UPDATE: Managed to get it working. While searching for a solution, I saw something that mentioned that the doors should lock and then unlock automatically after turning the power on then off after installation. Thinking back, I remembered the doors locking, but I opened the door manually before they had a chance to unlock. Out of curiosity, I unplugged the new module and plugged it back in. I then power cycled the vehicle again, and this time I waited for it to lock and unlock on its own. After doing that, the shock sensor worked.
