I just saw that RTR has an antenna and flag mount. Looks like a clean way of doing it.

Which end are you looking to put the flag? @Mountains2Metal makes one that mounts on the spare tire mount and there are others that mount using the trail sights.

Connects just like an air hose coupler. Folds like a tent pole.

Very nice. I did the exact same thing on my 4Runner, mounted to the rear of the roof rack.

The only requirements I'm aware of are flag heights and IIRC sizes and this easily meets both for the one place I checked,

The TrailSite bracket came from Trailrax, I bought it the same time I bought my TrailRax half-rack, buried under the Besttop Sky-Rider shown in the photo:

The Flag is from HandyFlag, and I ordered 2 of the mounting studs. The second is on the back, atop the Hammerbuilt reinforcing bracket, on an accessory bracket.

I don't like the flat tailgate mounts, I want more offset away from the car.
