I just got my first update in over a year of owning my bronco. I can’t imagine they push them out that often?

There are certain things I can see with the VIN in PTS, but I am not sure I fully understand your issue. What do you mean by "safety pause?
Is this the defeat device? https://www.4dtech.com/canopener-motion-unlock-for-sync-equipped-vehicles/Android Auto is now forcing a Safety Pause after 5-6 taps. So no interaction, mutes the audio, and generally halts the whole screen until 3-4 seconds pass.
There's defeat devices out there that typically solve it by shorting the e-brake line, so the system thinks the ebrake is applied, and thus negates the pause, or tricks the system into just not reporting the speed of the vehicle to the head unit.
But noooooo, Ford thinks it's unsafe to interact with the vehicle unless it's in park. Not even stopping the vehicle *while in drive* is enough to defeat their dumbass safety pause. Kinda like how native Sync will keep you from searching for music on an attached USB drive unless the vehicle is fully stopped.
my fuel pump is under recall, with no end in sight, and they think my front seat is going to explode out of the car at any time, and won't fix either of those things, but they put effort into changing this to fuck with drivers?
this is the kinda stuff that's going to drive me to start trolling Mike Levine on twitter again
That would annoy the hell out of me. I assume this is a Bronco or vehicle specific issue, because I've never had that happen to my F150 or our Bronco Sport which are both on Sync 4. Maybe there's some way to turn it off with FORScan, but I don't know of a way. Wish I could be more of help, but unless the issue is specific to your Bronco, I don't think I can do much with your VIN in regards to this.Android Auto is now forcing a Safety Pause after 5-6 taps. I am 5000% certain that any troubleshooting would involve ford going "oh, that's an android auto thing!" and google going "nope, that's ford reporting the wrong data back to android auto"That would annoy the hell out of me. I'm on Android, too. For sure it's not an Android thing.I am 5000% certain that any troubleshooting would involve ford going "oh, that's an android auto thing!" and google going "nope, that's ford reporting the wrong data back to android auto"
If it was me at this point I would use forscan to check the DTC codes and the battery state of charge and go from there.I have a 23 with auto updates on recurring at 1am I’m on version 4.0.23353 and have not received any updates since at least may of 25 when we purchase. ..I contacted ford and they csn ping it and said possible battery voltage was preventing, but battery was replaced and still no dice.
Low battery voltage will not prevent updates from being sent, but it can prevent them from installing if one is sent. Particularly the ones that require the vehicle to be inhibited while they install.I have a 23 with auto updates on recurring at 1am I’m on version 4.0.23353 and have not received any updates since at least may of 25 when we purchase. ..I contacted ford and they csn ping it and said possible battery voltage was preventing, but battery was replaced and still no dice.
Yeah I’m not sure what’s going on then.Low battery voltage will not prevent updates from being sent, but it can prevent them from installing if one is sent. Particularly the ones that require the vehicle to be inhibited while they install.
It doesn't necessarily mean that something is going on. The OTA process for Ford and all legacy manufacturers is inconsistent, unpredictable and unreliable. Sync 23353 is two versions behind the latest available Sync.Yeah I’m not sure what’s going on then.
Ford says they cannot see any of my modules or when they last received update. My actual version from the about screen is 4.0.24240 which is current but she said I should be getting other updates My vin is 1FMDE5DH3PLB30648It doesn't necessarily mean that something is going on. The people that answer the phones when you call Ford read from a script and are clueless. They 100% can see what modules have pending updates, but they often do not know how to use the resources they have in front of them.Ford says they cannot see any of my modules or when they last received update.
