I am having difficulty making a decision, what do you guys think?

This will be my wife’s car, a second to my 2022 2.7L basesquach 2dr.

1) ZR2 Bison @ $60000 (~$1500 below MSRP)

2) Ranger Raptor @ $63000 (including $5000 ADM)

3) Wrangler 4xe @ $60000 (-$12000 off MSRP)

All 2024.

Nissan Frontier Pro-4X loaded can be had under $50k. It's the best midsized truck based off a tested platform that doesn't rely on that turbo nonsense. If you just want to spend $60k you can mail me the difference.

What does she want? Seems like thats who you need to ask haha. Me personally Id go raptor ranger but not over msrp. The jeeps arent selling hence the 12k discount... Why? As for the chevy Im not familiar enough but I know the raptor has more power and personlly I prefer the gmc at4 over the colorado.

Ranger Raptor is #1 for me, but I'd never ever pay ADM.

The ZR2 is a solid truck. I'd want a bigger discount and/or just skip the Bison. The Ranger and Tacoma are out now. Colorado/Canyon sales will absolutely slow down unless they mark them down.

Frontier Pro-4X is a bargain, but people don't trust the transmission. I am not knowledgeable on Nissan, so that is pure hearsay on my part.

I wouldn't touch a 4Xe with a 10 foot pole. Nothing but problems with those.

The transmission issues were resolved many, many years ago. My wife dailies a Frontier with close to 140k miles on it. It's only ever had oil changes and tires. If I were buying now I absolutely would not hesitate and I'm really hoping the Xterra gets revived based off the new Frontier. They are the best midsized trucks made and yes that includes Tacos.

I know a few people with 4xe and they like em. I looked all over for MSRP on a Ranger Raptor and haven’t been able to pull it off, $5000 ADM was the best I could do. Wife would like any, including a ‘base’ GX, but they’re not really available yet.

I’m assuming actual off-roading isn’t a concern since you are considering a 4xe so I guess what is the point of buying these overpriced trims? Why not a regular Colorado, Ranger, or Wrangler for like 20k less? What are you really getting out of those super expensive versions other than being able to say you got em and having less $ in your paycheck? If money ain’t a thing to u, then I’d vote Raptor I guess given these 3 options.

I guess it depends on what she wants to use it for? Is it just a daily driver and will very rarely leave the pavement? Is she going off-roading with you regularly? Overlanding? Do you have kids/dogs to bring? Etc. Lots of factors here.

Not knowing that and simply based off what I would get out of those options, I'd likely lean to the Bison or Ranger first, and the Wrangler would be my last choice (although the financial incentive is intriguing).

What's her use case? Since you already have the Bronco for off-roading and utility usage, I'd probably buy some other type of vehicle, maybe a car.

One of the best things that happened to me when Ford was having Bronco production issues, is I bought a used sports car, so much fun on pavement. I like having different types of vehicles in my household for various uses and enjoyment.

You ask for new car suggestions for your wife and then list 3 trucks for us to help you decide???

1. go ask your wife what she wants
2. go buy it for her
3. rinse and repeat

So many options out there but you've narrowed the choices down to one SUV and two pick-ups which all happen to be domestic brands. Any specific reasoning why?

Why doesn’t your wife get an opinion?
my wife told me that if we have to get rid of her Rav4, we don't and it's paid for, then she'd like a Baby Bronco aka Bronco Sport...only thing I can do is steer her towards a Badlands trim even tho the OBX is probably all she needs :D ... I really have no say in what she gets as a new car, it's her car.
