Hey now! Only I'm allowed to be dense in these here parts. Thick and wide as the forests of Montana, Mama said so!

However, I'm kinda on TruckCamper's side here. I think he meant it in more of a flippant way and the convo was maybe getting a little jawboning heated for whatever reason. 🤷‍♂️ I don't think he meant anything by it, just that he feels strongly about what he believes in this case.

Ten second timeout and everyone involved get yer lunch out, maybe some hangry going on.
I do not want to take away from his contributions to this subject.... And when I say "contributions" i mean that by definition.... He has contributed insight that has made me think and rethink... I appreciate that.

but that comment "the perfect lithium battery to change the world"

It just calls into question objectivity based on motivations.

Without that comment I was following what he was saying and I thought his comments were had value and worth consideration.... No determination as to agreement or not but surly worthy of exploration.

Nobody is trying to change the world or stop climate change or whatever inference that comment is meant invoke. FOR ME, and maybe it is only me, that comment casts a pawl over objectivity.

All anyone is trying to do here is find the best battery solution available for the vehicle they have. Every option is going to have pros and cons and I think it has been enlightening to have those pros and cons sussed out. I would like to see the conversation continue because numerous points are being brought up that I have not considered prior to this thread.

I agree with Brian.
I've been using Auto Zone products since they were Auto Shack, (until sued by Radio Shack back in the 80's).
Using their batteries for many years, never had a problem.
My OEM battery has been acting strangely lately, put it on my heavy-duty charger, and left it on the charger over the weekend.
I'm going to buy this one as soon as my battery craps out ...
Duralast Platinum Elite AGM Battery 94R / H7 Group Size DIN - Type A1 H7-AGMEL
Expensive, over 300 dollars, with tax here on Long Island, but well worth it.
And no BS warrantee, 5 years from the date on your receipt.
Don't know if that warrantee is any good though since no one I've recommended Duralast Batteries too has ever had one fail.

There is no perfect objectivity. We all have some bias, some of which we can correct for, some to which we're blind to. I still think it was more "whatever you say" and that people should just agree to disagree.

I might not be too bright but have replaced batteries in 1988 Jeep Wrangler,2011 Mustang + 2013 F150 with Odyssey + paid the higher cost but they have never let me down. When need to replace Batt in 2022 WT will go with Odyssey also .I keep maintainer hooked up for all my Hanger Queens.Carry a Jump Starter in Bronco_Old enough that batteries failed more often in Winter but lately think heat eats them faster + they don't give warning signs like they did years ago. They work + then 1 day they are just dead. Govt plot to take my Social Security check! I also went with Lithium Ion in 2006 HD as roll starting is hard for an Old Dude even after I realized easier to roll downhill then push uphill.
