Hey there! So, I got a Mobridge amp and Morel speakers installed back in February 2025 in my 2024 Badlands, and I’ve been having some serious trouble. The amp kept cutting power to the Morel sub box. Plus, I was occasionally losing all the audio, and the only way to fix both scenarios is to shut off the Bronco and open the door to cut off all the power. Then, I can just restart the Bronco, and everything goes back to normal. I’ve been chatting with Mobridge support about this for ages, and I’ve updated the software, but it didn’t work. They even gave me an audio map for the current setup, but that didn’t help either. Mobridge sent me a new amp, thinking the old one was faulty, and it seemed to work for a bit, but the sub cutting out problem is back. I’m really bummed out because this was a pretty expensive setup, and I don’t want to deal with this anymore. Has anyone else had a similar issue, and if so, what did you do to fix it?

Honestly, I’m thinking of giving up on Mobridge and trying another amp. Do you have any recommendations for something that would work with my system?

Have you spoke to who did the installation? Could be an issue with overheating or some other installation-related problem, especially since it's been with 2 different amps now.

I have and they are the ones that installed both of them. They were told by morel to put limiters in the mapping to kill some of the base. We tried this as well but the sound was not good and if I remember correctly the problem continued on the old amp. I’m not sure where else to install it as it is in the location that mobridge says to install it in. It is a plug and play system so I’m not sure if it can be relocated due to the factor wiring restrictions.

I’m having the same issue. I don’t drive the truck much and haven’t had time to look into it but I’m thinking these need lots of airflow for cooling. I don’t seem to have an issue in the cooler months. I’ve also noticed these don’t like the auto-stop

What firmware are you running? I updated mine this past Tuesday and have not had the bass cut out since.

Might also be worth installing a stop/start eliminator.

I dont drive mine much as well seeing how I have a company vehicle. I do live in Florida and it gets hot here. I haven’t been able to see how it operates in the cooler weather. I was also thinking it could be the heat but I have no idea how I could go about improving the airflow.

I am running the same system.... M0bridge/Morel.... Installed it myself. No problems at all. Since I have the two door Bronco I was not able to install the amp in the recommended location because... well I have cup holders.... So I had to remove the B&O Sub and moved it back right next to the B&O sub "vent".... Works absolutely phenomenally. I especially like the M0bridge DSP. you would loose that if you changed the amp.

I will look into this and see if I am able to do the same. Thanks for the info and hope I can get it figured out. The sound is really great and I hate to start over.

Have you tried removing the limiters (changing the values back to 0) and seeing if the problem persists?

I can't use a center channel with a limiter set. If I do, the audio starts to degrade, the OEM head unit volume does not control the amp, and the amp enters a reboot loop. This cycles every 10 seconds until I turn the center channel limiter back to 0 or disable it in the configuration.

This ONLY happens when the center channel limiter is modified, all others work just fine.

If it’s shitting down completely it sounds like a power issue. Check your power and grounds.

Sometimes when I start up the audio looks like it's playing (on the screen) but it seems that the speakers forgot to "wake up" - I think it's a Bronco OS issue.

Also, if this happens again, pro tip: hold down power and the fast forward buttons at the same time to reset / restart the audio - you don't have to shut your car off and open the door anymore. This works when the engine is running and is probably safer as you don't have to shift into park and turn off the vehicle.

I have been getting this exact same behavior in both S550 Mustang and the Bronco when connected to a dedicated phone plugged in USB streaming and with USB.

It's could definitely be OS.

I like the ProTip!! Priceless!!!
