I just switched from a ground tent to a RTT, and need the ability to leave a window cracked for my dog, who has a bed in the cargo area.

Has anyone made a solution or purchased something that works?

Since the windows are frameless the sock style obviously won't work.

I got some gutter guards from Home Depot, cut them to length of rear windows, sprayed painted them black

Attach to rear window, roll up so it covers, can open and close door and so far they’ve stayed on

Annoying part is sometimes you roll it up too far and cause the window to roll all the way down

A solution for the whole window would be nice to have

There are roll up window screens for the 4 door, but I have a 2 door as well and they won’t work with the angled front windows.

the best my potato brain could think of was buying one of those huge ones and throwing it over the whole truck, but don’t think that would work with an RTT.
Magnetic ones won’t work because the doors are aluminum.

Hoping this thread gains some traction and the hive mind has a solution.

That won’t work for a 2 door, the front windows are angled.

Yeah can't use magnets.

Front window is angled.

I could use painters tape I guess...

This is kind of an expensive fix but it WOULD work.
Velox offers the gullwing doors to replace the rear windows. They are of a 2 piece clam shell design.
You could cut the screen to fit using the glass as a template and sandwich it between the inner and outer pieces.
Pop the top when you need fresh air.
I installed them on my 2dr just cuz space is a valuable commodity and I couldn't see crap out of them anyway.

Ah, crap.

I wonder if you could cut and use a “Magic Mesh” somehow? I’m sure it’s more than wide enough - just cut it so it’s significantly shorter. You could probably add some gromits to the top and maybe use the bolts you’d attach a grab handle to, above the side air bag. You’d probably want to remove it when you’re driving, but it’s simple enough to do.

Just read about a patent Ford applied for, a pull down screen covering top / doors/windows. Doesn't say witch platform and pics don't exactly look like a Bronco but what else could it be? In any case, a possible accessory coming to fix the issue.
