Do you have a picture of that by chance?
I don’t believe there is anything wrong with your module. Everyone who has the latest updates have this new start up it seems. Ford just cut the start up out.
Thats such a bummer. Why on earth would Ford think to get rid of that animation. I loved that when I got in my Bronco. I wonder if Forscan can get it back?

Ok how do I turn off auto updates? My 2024 atart up is still the rocks turning into a Bronco. Hopefully it’s already off but I don’t know how to check.

Go to settings and then look for Software Updates. It's in there where you can turn off the auto update

Ok so it’s not the end of the world but I’ve seen to have lost the bucking bronco startup screen. My radio just stays black until the system boots up and it doesn’t display anything when I open the door to get in or out. Everything else works fine and I’ve reseat the radio a few times
Ditto, just 2 days ago my start up animation went away (23 OBX, lux) and the back-camera was in a different orientation? Hate it when nothing is wrong and an “update” messes things that previously were working fine. The new “economy” start-up animation is not very appealing…(IMO). Come on Ford, you can do better than this!

Ok so update. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the FDIM and APIM. My animation is back (the superior rolling rocks) and my compass working as it should!

@Ducati1098 I no longer have the rolling rocks either, just a blue screen and a (white?) Bronco logo in the middle on startup. Should I take this in for a check based on Oldred57's having the two modules replaced? I'm not that worried about the animation, but wondering about warrantying the modules if there's something wrong.

Can’t hurt to ask them to take a look at it if they will.
Having a different start up screen isn’t exactly a warrantable repair I don’t think though lol but maybe you have some updates they will do that can fix it.

Mine still has the rolling rocks, but I know it’s not up currently up to date either.

I'm more wondering if the missing animation might indicate a memory issue or network issue. I don't care about the animation, but if it's not supposed to go away and does, makes me wonder. Just didn't know if you knew if the animation should be there or not. My screen also had some issues a week or so ago where it wasn't displaying anything but music was playing from my phone. Probably take it in when I can, but as you point out, I might get laughed at anyway.

It’s possible there’s a separate issue causing it, but I don’t know for sure.
I’d expect no start up screen at all if there was an issue though, not a different new style one with a bronco logo still showing up.

We have some brand new 24’s I’ll check if I get time. If those still have the rolling rocks, then I would be more inclined to think this is an issue and not just a change.

Just got my Bronco back from the dealer for 20,000 mile general service and wiper software update. I had complained about the loss of the rolling rock/bronco animation and analog compass on the center screen. They said it was a software issue and reloaded/updated (not sure which) and now I have the original animation. I had lost the analog compass function (it has been locked pointing north for quite a while now) on the 'home' screen and they thought they had fixed it but it isn't. I'll have them work on that on next visit.

P.S. The service referenced a TSB of 23-2437 for the Display issues and Campaign 23B35 for the wiper motor software update.

Thats sounds so crazy to have to have the APIM (likely what you are referencing) replaced on a brand new Bronco. Not impossible just silly.
My 3 day old Bronco that needed a brand new battery would like to have a talk with you.
