Black screen after startup (Looks like a failed update)

Yesterday (Sept 8) I was unable to get my infotainment system working. System reset was responsive and the startup screen animation came on but after that, black screen. Nothing I did was bringing the system back. Next day, system is working. Yay! However things have changed as far as settings. Looking at the update to see if an update happened and system says there was a failed update. 6.3.0
Anyone else have this happen or is this a sign of trouble?

I had the same thing happen yesterday (lux trim). Screen worked when I started the vehicle with key fob and then start button. Drove 2-3 minutes and screen shut off. All button controls still worked. Screen came back on after ~15 minutes.

I had the exact same experience. Black screen for 10-15 mins then it magically came on again. Working perfectly ever since.

same thing happened for me yesterday. I've read it is normal for this type of update. I came back to the car couple hours later and everything is normal

I had this issue on Thursday. The screen turned black; it was working for the front and back cameras though. I rebooted it twice but that didn't help. Everything came back to normal by itself after an hour or two.

Thanks people. Appreciate the feedback. It was not till the next day that it came back. But was not in the car for a while.

Yep, same here. There is something to be said about having (I need one)an older and analog 4wheel drive vehicle. These computers will be the death of things.

I got the failed update but not the blank screen but got random connection issues. Took a couple of days to complete version 6.3.0. Then a week after, I get a message that my software completed update to 6.4.0.

Confirmed here, my '21 also updated to 6.4.0 without issue.

had this happen today screen was fine at startup then went black for the entire ride steering buttons worked but nothing on screen but is working fine now
