These things ruined my trip this weekend.

I had originally added a 1/8th spacer because my beads are thicker than Territories and I thought it would be needed. They all torqued to 50lb without incident and held air initially.

Then the next day once they started getting worked on the trail, 2 stopped holding air for more than a few minutes. Ended up breaking down those 2 and taking the spacers out, which led to a lot more squishing to reach 50lb, and they're holding so far.

At this point I'm debating removing the spacers on the other 3 and seeing what happens, or break them all down again and add a little liquid bead sealer at the seam.

@BigMeatsBronco have you taken a ring off after using so much silicone? I'd expect it to be nearly impossible.
I didn’t think about using spacers or anything but I know the Toyo MT’s we have are ridiculously thick. Not sure how much compared to what you have when it comes to the bead, but they are the heaviest 40” tire out there. No spacer and no issues with ours

I had the spacers made when I was trying to run SX2s. They were never going to squish enough. So thick it was difficult to even catch threads initially.

If you do a deep dive on torque specs and torque to yield bolts you might be tempted to throw out the recommended torque specs altogether and just wrench them harder the bigger the connection 😂

Is that one ugga dugga vs two or three ugga duggas??? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

smol bolts get one ugga dugga on setting one. Increase ugga dugga increments up to 9/16 then swap to setting two. Repeat until 3/4 bolts then go setting three. Red loctite on all of them.

Increase ugga dugga by one if using a crows foot on jam nuts and successfully avoiding turning them into circles. (Only applies to DCF961. Calibrate as necessary for your tools 😂😂)

I know from experience our wheel threads start to rip out around 60 lb/ft. 😬

I have one stripped hole to fix.

Whoopsie!

At least it’s only one 🤷🏼‍♂️ what method are you gonna use to rethread it?

the hard part with these Honda (dewalt?) XR four stroke electric impacts is that after ~four seconds (maybe that’s where the XR comes from?) of ugga dugga the VTEC kicks in and really cranks up the torque. (Dewalt seriously calls it VTEC)

the Dewalt cordless ratchet (Kubota diesel) is a better tool for this job...slow and steady.and plenty of torque you can feel and modulate by ooffda resistance( or shin whacks) ...before it's too late.

ain’t nobody got time for that. Setting three and send it home. Much faster than what these imposters did with a weak little screwdriver and cumbersome ratchets

🤣😂😅😁
real pros.

I used lots of silicone on the rubber, blue locked tight on the nuts , and the Kubota rattle-ratchet (low frequency wiggle) to finish her off.

I’m gonna start using gluetread glue and JB Weld. “No officer, that is indeed a one piece wheel”
