For those that installed the kit, how much shorter are the metal brackets for the rear side of the fender liner compared to the OEM plastic piece? Trying to figure out how much clearance is gained.

Also, does anyone have a part number off of that plastic piece they removed ?
I don't have a specific measurement for you in terms of difference but it's substantial.. it arguably makes the biggest difference of anything in the kit (at least for my setup). Off the top of my head I'd say it's probably close to an inch different at the far inside (inward toward the frame), less than that right at the outside where it meets body.
All that said if you are handy in any way from a fabrication standpoint you could easily make that bracket at home.

Thanks! I'm thinking of 3D printing a piece that mimics the OEM design, but is shorter for the clearance. I'm hoping someone has the part number for the plastic piece so I can order one and not have to deal with having my fender liner torn apart while I reverse engineer, design, and print the new part.

Just remove the liner anyway? It'll be fine while you do it. If I get off my bit this weekend, doubtful, I should try it too. Race to see who posts the .stl first? 😂

I did mine without removing the bumper, and it wasn't any problem at all cutting the front mounts, as @Squatch said though, Quality Blades in the reciprocating saw are a necessity.

What is the LOD frame reinforcement?

Did you cut front to back or back to front?

It's 100% doable without removing the bumper. Atleast with the fab fours stubby bumper it is.
I can't remember exactly- but I believe i went back to front, but be carefull not to hit anything, theres some wire looms I believe but there not really in the way.

Use the right tools- a sawzall with carbide blades Is what i used, I believe I used the extra long ones.

You gain a TON of room in the front. In the rear of the front fenders it's probably close to an inch.

I have the FP winch setup on mine, and did not need to remove the bumper. Easy peasy!

Front to back (From the front of the Bronco towards the back), full disclosure, I was on a lift, which made it a lot easier to start, it would be a lot harder if you were laying on the ground or on a creeper...

I did it with my bumper and winch still on the vehicle. Pictures show the bumper brackets bolted just forward of what you need to cut. I would recommend using 8" Sawzall blades. I was able to complete mine with 6" blades, but the extra 2" would have been better. (That's what she said.)

That’s good to know, I have the same bumper. I bought good blades the other day but opted not to get the long ones, hope they work, they are not cheap.
I bought the weld-on body mounts from @stinkyfab

I wish my garage had that carpet, that rocks.
:ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I found that laying out next to a curb and thought "geez, that would be more comfortable than laying on cold concrete." It also keeps random bolts and sockets I drop from bouncing and rolling 20 feet away from me, so that's another plus.

I keep spare cardboard boxes for that even though I have a creeper, but that doesn't stop the rollaway... that's a sweet bonus.

My "Dad Bod" (soon to be Grandpa 🎉) won't let me fit under the Bronco if I'm also on a creeper. That could be my excuse for getting Portal's and 40's..... :ROFLMAO:
