Old boxy Escape, Explorer, F-150, Bronco. When I buy American I buy Ford. Have also had a Saab back in the day, a Porsche Boxster, Audi, and various used junkers early on.

1986 Escort GT-First car-was my dads
1998 Mustang GT
2002 Ford Focus SVT-was the turd
2006 Mustang GT
2013 Taurus SHO
2010 Fusion Hybrid-this was my brother in laws old car I bought off him after the fiasco I had with my first Bronco, to hold me over till my current Bronco came in
2022 Bronco

My wife has had the following since I met her

2010 Escape
2017 Escape
2024 Bronco Sport

Yes! And new to the endless accessorizing and getting random stuff to upgrade it mentality. It's been fun tho!

Ford Bronco Is your Bronco your first Ford? Azuroth 4.1

This is a completely random question just to mix things up a bit. How many of you are first time Ford owners due to your Bronco?

No, my parents had taurus MT5 (little known 5 speed manual) and a couple of rangers when I was a teenager.

Personally I my first Ford was a 2013 Mustang and I now have a 2022 Mustang GT and my Bronco.

First new car, 1978 pinto coupe. 2.3 litre with a 4 speed. Great car, fun to drive. Sold with around 170,000 miles. Cheapest new car around. Ford dealer had to order it. Only option I got was an AM radio. Advertised price was $2999.00

First new Ford but 3rd overall. My second car as a teenager was a used '74 Mustang II, long gone and then I have my dad's old '02 Ranger. All have been manual transmission and Dad's work Econoline is what I learned to drive on, 3 on the tree!

Past= Ford Focus, Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer, 82 Mustang Convertible & 92 Mustang Fox Body coupe

Now= 00 Mustang GT, 03 Thunderbird Convertible & 23 Ford Bronco.

I don't know why but I've always liked the Fords. I also currently own other makes as well:

99 Chevy Silverado
23 Jeep Wrangler
12 Toyota Camry

I've also owned countless other makes in the past that are not Fords.

Still have a 65 Mustang and in the past had an 89 Mustang. To this day, I still miss my 89 Foxbody. It was a blast to drive. I am thinking about getting rid of the 65 and trying to find a nice foxbody again. Every other car was German or Japanese and these were the best in fit/finish and reliability. Yet I can't believe that I am prob going to buy another Bronco because it is just Fahrvergnügen.

Alrighty, thanks for sharing your insight on Ford windshield quality. On a related note, here's a couple threads with data from other forum members:

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...ing-replacements-have-you-gone-through.95602/

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...nco-without-a-broken-windshield.101745/page-8

It never ceases to amaze me how many people want to blame themselves for this. How about some self respect?

I've never had this in 75,000 miles of jeeps.

1986 Ford F-150: Dad's truck given to me in HS

1996 Ford Taurus: Used, first car I bought.

1998 Ford Contour SVT: First brand new car I bought. Dealer screwed me on it and in the end dealer screwed themselves. So back to Taurus and traded it in on...

1999 Deawoo Leganza: Surprisingly good car but got rid of it after paying it off due to brand not making it.

1999 Land Rover Discovery: My dream car from HS.

2006 Ford Expedition: Used 2WD 😲 California car.

2006 Ford Expedition: Used but 4WD, back in Colorado car.

2013 Ford Expedition EL: Miss it

2017 Ford Explorer and F-250 Powerstroke: Bought same day, traded 2013 Expedition in on them. Still have. And obviously my 2021 Bronco...

Ford Family, since 2003 Lincoln Nav. Expeditions, mavericks now Bronco. Loyalty with all mishaps and warts. Might end now that wife wants an import for her retirement. Good stuff. Peace.

I thought sure brand loyal guys were extinct. Cool to see they aren’t.
I was loyal to American Honda Motor Manufacturing for MANY years--going back to 1984. They earned it, and continued to earn my loyalty year after year. I have stories. And my family and friends all converted to Honda in the late 80s and into the 90s and even early 2000s. My brother bought my father a very expensive Acura in 2008, for example. Honda/Acura, that was an easy decision.

Then in 2009, after the economy crashed, they chose to dump that hard earned loyalty in the toilet and tell me, "too bad, so sad, sucks to be you" on a very important issue. And they did so solely because the economy crashed and they decided to change course 180 degrees against the customer, compared to what they'd been doing since 1980. Again, I have the receipts.

Fast forward to today and I haven't had a Honda product in my garage for 5 years now. And I haven't bought a NEW Honda since...well, since 9/11/2001, one of the first 2002 Odyssey facelifts sold. It was that minivan that caused all the ruckus in my life 8 years and 73K miles later. I did replace it with a used Honda minivan from a buddy of mine who was selling at a good price, and I did buy a used Acura ILX, but we finally dumped everything Honda/Acura and moved on.

If brand loyal guys are extinct, it's because the manufacturers don't care about you coming back--to the point of pushing you away, even. Yes, American Honda, I'm looking at you.

American Honda should be ashamed that my garage went from stricly Honda away to VW, then Chrysler, then Ford. I still have the two VWs--and they've proven to be very reliable, what Honda used to be in the 80s, while simultaneously being fun to drive, which Honda never was.

Frankly, I figured at this point they're all equally good--which is to say, they all equally suck. Products and companies.

My second. First was an ‘86 Bronco II I bought around ‘95 and kept for 10+ years. Loved it and never had any problems with it. Some phone-distracted teenager in the neighborhood plowed into it and totaled it…

I currently own three Fords, and had a couple of others in the past as well. I claim that I'm not brand loyal, since each Ford purchase was strictly on the merits of the vehicle at the time. I came close to buying a Subaru Outback when I bought my Escape, but my wife didn't like driving the Subaru, and it was to be her car, so we went with Ford. There are a few brands that I would not buy, though.
