I tried the search function but I'm blocked by the security system at work. I have a Wildtrak with the modular bumper so no factory fog lights. I want to install fog lights but instead of using one of my upfitter switches I'm wondering if I can just install an factory light switch with fogs. If so how would I get it to work? Scan tool to turn the function on? Would I have to run a harness or is there an existing harness taped up somewhere underneath? Thanks.

Why wouldn't you use one of your upfitter switches? That's precisely what they are designed for.

Because having the factory switch (which I believe 90%+ of the wiring is already there for anyway) frees up an upfitter switch for something else. Having a BD with the 'Capable' bumper, I'm very glad to have the factory fogs, even if they aren't that awesome - I can replace them with something else, usually I can just BUY an adapter if needed, and I'm done. There's a lot more wires to run and connect if you're putting them to an upfitter switch.

I think you can do it if you have the parking sensors.
I was looking to do the same thing, but could not due to being a base model without the parking sensors.
With parking sensors, the harness is already capable to handle fog lights & has the plugs for the lights on the harness. You just need the factory light switch with the fog light option.

You need to program the circuit live with Forscan. Which one of our fog kits are you going with, because we sell a pigtail that works with our fog kits that plugs into the existing pigtail ford left you.

I don't believe this is a requirement. Our BD SAS doesn't have front parking sensors but has the factory fogs. Perhaps both harnesses run into a common one behind the bumper?

Yes it is.
For vehicles without factory fog lights, If you don't have parking sensors then there is no factory harness/connectors for the fog lights. They're on the same harness

If you have factory fogs you don’t have the modular bumper

Never said I did. I said I have factory fogs and no front sensors. I have the Capable bumper.

The O.P. Is referring to his truck with a modular bumper. He wants to add a fog switch to his truck. Mod bumper equipped trucks may or may not have a pigtail tucked away depending on build specs (like front parking sensors)

Then does someone make a harness for the fog lights to connect to the 4-4 Truck LEDs piglets? I have a 2024 Big Bend with modular bumper (and towing package) - but do not have the parking sensors or the ancillary switches. I would like to be able to connect to fogs on the mini bull bar through the grille and install a factory headlamp fog light switch to turn them on/off.

Not sure about aftermarket, but you can buy the factory harness though.

Problem is, I don’t think the wiring is even going up to the bumper connector for the front harness. I think it stops short in a large connector above the LF fender liner.

There was a post a while ago about someone extending it from that large connector and making it work, not sure I’d be able to find it again though.
