I am not totally a BFG hater, just a bit underwhelmed with my last set of K02s?
I went with the Toyo RT Trail & will continue to do so.
Toyo are great tires & usually offer a better range in available size options.
IMHO & YMMV! 😉
I bought a 2021 VW Golf in order to have a car while I waited 16 months for my Bronco. I traded it in on my Bronco & have never been happier! I lost about 15-20 mpg with my Bronco, but I DO NOT CARE!! My Bronco drives great & Goes Over All Terrain / pot holes, curbs, speed bumps etc.
Do what...
The Hitachi shocks are crap. My advice is to scan the Marketplace here for SAS take-offs, or just DM Migo for his take-offs. You will love the way your Black Diamond drives with the Bilsteins! Enjoy your mods.....Once you start, you just keep going!!!
(y)
I believe there is, as well as Manual vs Automatic Transmissions.
Likely due to weight?
I am pretty sure it has been addressed by folks on this site who are much more knowledgeable than I am. That is where I learned what I needed to know before buying take offs...
That is a much better deal than the $2100 on the Ford Performance site!
I was just not really wanting to go up to 35" tires, so I just loved the idea of getting around 1" lift with the NON-SAS Badlands shocks.
I used to carry rotor pins, distributor caps & spark plug wires in my 1979 at all times!
Any source for reference was basically whatever we could find 30 years ago.
I am extremely thankful for this site, as well as YouTube these days! ;)
Yep! I saw the price for the Ford Performance shocks that add 2" lift for $2100.
I was able to buy a set of take offs & have my tire shop do the installation for less than that all together! Plus, I do not want a 2" lift, just a factory Badlands Non-SAS stance!
I will admit to not being the best photographer I know!
*Before picture taken 20OCT2023 & After picture taken 14MAR2024, so same spot, just different sun angles due to different seasons Fall/Spring.*
I had originally ordered Bilstein 5100 shocks a few years ago, but my preferred tire...
There is no more 'residual wiggle' when hitting a bump, or pavement change at highway speeds.
My Bronco feels like it has a much more solid stance & speed bumps are even more fun than before! HAHA!
The assembly line picture was sent to me by Ford when he/it came off the assembly line.
It was an...
My money is on a yahoo at the dealership slapping stuff around on your Bronco before you picked it up? Mine arrived at the dealership with the drivers side mirror glass smashed & the electric emergency brake handle broken! :poop:
I remember having to zip tie my 1992 Bronco's driver side dashboard, to whatever solid I could find in there, due to the molded plastic mounting parts getting brittle & snapping off. The dash would shake like hell when off-roading, or riding on gravel roads. I bought a bunch of 12" zip ties &...
I want to give a big shout out to Tracey aka Sugarwolf for the Badlands NON-SAS 2.3L 2 Door 7M Bilstein take-offs.
This is by far the best upgrade I have been able to do, as my Bronco now feels safer on the road.
No more residual wiggling at 70+ MPH when I hit a pavement imperfection!!
If I am...
