Did we establish what the amp rating is for the rear fog circuit?

curious about using it to trigger more than just my C1Rs, like some rigid radiance scene pods. Not sure what circuit amp capacity is as I do my quick math.

Don’t have the answer but ultimately power comes from the blue/white wire on the drivers side. Seems like it should be traceable. Can’t recall if one of those free FSM’s here had the wiring diagrams but they may be a start point.

Also the other day I learned the amp rating for AUX switches aren’t identical for all models. In particular was Raptor. All had 6 and same overall amp ratings but as an example AUX3 may be higher on Raptor than AUX1 on all other models.

I mention the AUX thing because it’s plausible Ford did a similar thing on the reverse fogs. Since US models don’t have that and I believe is only powers the tag light, it may be rated for smaller amps. I could see non-domestic models having a higher amp capacity as they use the rear fogs.

Just ordered the G harness with my vehicle purchase points. Finally gonna use that switch I’ve had sitting in a box for 4 years.

Sounds like a project. I just recently put this in on mine with a quick disconnect if I need to use the trailer hitch (probably very rare). The S1 baja in yellow or white really lights up the back. I rant it to my aux switch #6. https://mesocustoms.com/collections/exterior-accessories/products/hitchpod-combos. $140 and I was done. I went with this option because even when it is turned off or not in reverse I can just flip a switch and light up the area behind me or camping site.

Perfect for tailgaters or blinding street cams haha

For those of you that installed a G harness. How’d you go about determining which direction it gets installed? I’m going with my gut and following the factory install which had the white tag on the driver side…

Oh, that’s funny. Because I need to route the plate wiring from the passenger side (Turn Offroad relocate).

It didn’t dawn on me at first the extra connector is for plate, not sensor. They’re the same connectors. Sensors have 3 wires and plate light has 2.

Ugh. Got the new bumper all bolted up and G harness wired…made the Forscan changes and I’m getting a ground fault DTC. I must have screwed up my weather pack connection or something. I used an SVC split harness to get power to two lights instead of one. I’m 99% certain I connected the blue/white to positive.

Dash indicators are working. That’s a start.

I have mine wired so the backlights will come on with the running lights at night as well as from a upfitter switch for daytime use. If they are both on at the same time I get this trouble code. You may be back feeding to the running lights? If the lights don't come on at all it's something else.

They’re not coming in at all.

I had an issue with one of the factory to weather pack harnesses from 4x4TruckLeds where the wiring was flipped. Might be the same issue…once I swapped the pins all was good. Just sucks because I need to pull the bumper to fix this…
