OK folks,
Bronco has been out couple of years now. Someone has to figured this out by now. I tried the pedal commander and it's a tad better but nothing to write home about. I don't want more power, I want more smooth and linear response.

Any good solutions out there?

Current mods:
Pedal commander and
MagnaFlow Overland Series Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System

I do not have it for my 2.7 yet but everyone on this forum says the Pro Cal makes a world of difference. Changes the shift strategies.

Also Sport mode makes it respond better as well.

Yeah, I have a younger driver in the household. I really don't need more power. Just "cool" stuff and smoothness. But I might have to go that route.

Procal helps a lot but nothing permanently "fixes" the logic gremlins in the 10-speed. It certainly helps off the line, however there are plenty of instances where it will lag after temporarily braking, etc.

Any of Ford's ten-speeds are so eager to get to the highest gear, I've found performance tunes or using Sport mode keeps the car in a lower gear making it more responsive.

I have the Heritage Limited, Sport mode doesn't show up. Doesn't all trim have sport mode?

HLE is essentially the Badlands and unfortunately, that GOAT mode doesn’t exist natively. You can use Forscan to add it - NBD.

My experience as well. Starting and stopping in heavy traffic is……. something else!

The pro cal tool doesn't make it incredibly fast or anything, and to be honest, I doubt they would even notice if you don't tell them you changed anything.

I'll add another Ford Pro Cal to already mentioned. Fixed the same issue for me and made shifts feel smoother and quicker. It does a good job of changing the driving experience in a good way.

its worth the money.

Hey there- I have a Wildtrak with a 2.7L and went with the ProCal. I enjoy the torque bump, but what I really was after was a different shift strategy/tightening the shift points. It does exactly that. I've driven stock 2.7L's and it feels like an inferior transmission (albeit just a flash between the two). It's a must-do for me.
