Your blowing this out of proportion. "Jeep" is often used to refer to a vehicle type especially outside of the United States. In the Philippines a Jeep can be from Toyota, Mitsubishi or their super cool Jeepneys they hand fabricate. Its no different than using the term "Scotch tape" to refer to any brand of clear plastic tape. That said I agree with your closing comment, but not for this reason. And that is all I can say about that!I was filling up the BBR with gasoline, and this Tacoma on other side of pump asked me the stupidest question ……… “Hey man, what kind of Jeep is that?”
I just stared before calmly replying “The one made by Ford….”
Response was “cool about time Ford starting making Jeeps.”
I wasn’t sure what to say. I know not everyone are car enthusiasts but I wasn’t sure if he was kidding or not.
I think our society is becoming stupider by the generation lol.
