I purchased my Bronco used and I was lead to believe when purchased new there are a lot of things the dealership goes over with you. So to help alleviate my ignorance, is there a lot of good information the dealership goes over? Anything you all who have had your Bronco for awhile think a noob should know? Any info is appreciated.

My sales guy was really only concerned that I got it set up in Ford Pass. I guess they get some credit for Ford Pass uptake or something.

Beyond that - he tossed me the keys and said good luck.

As far as things to know - don't use the off road GOAT modes (Eco/Sport are ok) or Hero Switch stuff until you get a good handle on it - they can break things. Other than that, just drive it.

You might get an in-depth orientation from a small-town dealer that knows the specifics on the Bronco. But for the most part, sales staff have so many different vehicles that they sell that they can't be proficient on all of them.

Reference the owner's manual and take a deeper dive in the sub-forums here. Search for what you are looking for. It has likely been covered ad nauseam.

There was also a series of YT videos that Bronco Nation produced back at launch that are just as pertinent today for the new owner.

Maybe in the early days with the foundation ones in '21 when they were marking them up. I was just given the keys once my financing went through in January this year and told "good luck!".

You'll learn more on here or Youtube in an hour then anything dealers tell you because they sell F-250's to Escapes and are not "Bronco" specialists.

My dealer didn't show me anything, though I'm sure he believed I knew more about the Bronco than he did...which I think I did because of this forum.

One of the biggest things I have seen overlooked is this little sticker.

Ford Bronco I don't know what I don't know IMG_2157 - Copy

The MIC top is hand wash only.

There are many threads on the topic and about how they crack, even if they are coddled and cared for. Keep your eye on it.

Long ago, as I waited for mine to be built, I would see Broncos on the lot without this sticker in the window. I go by those dealers today I see this sticker in every window.:cautious:

It's already been mentioned, but start with the owners manual. Then I would go through all the menu items for the instrument cluster to see what you can monitor while your driving. Do the same with the Sync screen. If you have any questions, just search here. There is probably a thread on it already. Good luck and enjoy your ride!

Some dealerships like mine might still have Bronco specialists on staff who are quite knowledgeable however almost everything that you really need to know can be researched here or elsewhere.

Also, I had to explain to six separate people at my dealership that I didn't want the Ford Pass. Then they made me sign a form officially telling them that I don't want the Ford Pass. That's all they could focus on for about an hour before I made it abundantly clear that I didn't want the Ford Pass. I felt like I had somehow offended them because their demeanor changed very quickly afterwards.

What Bronco trim did you buy? Any specific info you're looking for?

I studied any tidbit of info, brochures that were published during bronco production so I knew what I was looking for and what I wanted beforehand, and there is a wealth of information here on the forum. Probably more info than most people need to know. Haha.

As far as vehicle functions, the owners manual should cover everything you need to know.

There's the usual gripes, but Ill bet those were because peeps saw the new hotness without knowing what they were actually buying. Wind noise, double honk when key out of vehicle when engine running, maybe some rattles from the removable tops.

The Bronco tax is real.

If you're wheeling, don't lock the front end and skip on rocks. Haha.

The best tutorial I received on my bronco came from attending the Bronco Offrodeo.
I really wanted to go to this but since I'm not the original owner I'm not sure if I can

Sign up on the website, send them the requested documents and they will review and approve. When I went, it was with a used badlands I had purchased.

The Off-Roadeo eligibility is tied to the VIN. If the original owner didn't go, then you still may be eligible as long as the vehicle isn't too old. MY'21 and MY'22 are no longer elibible. MY'23 may still be.

Anyone that's spent 5 minutes on Ford's own B&P knows more about a Bronco than most car salesman do. Take a few minutes and read over the owners manual, (hint ... there's no hard copy). Once you figure out how things are supposed to work you can come back and join us in complaining that it doesn't, that it's stupid, or that it's the wrong color!

Welcome aboard!
