My front measurement was approximately 38 3/8" back was just about 40". Now both right about 42". 2 1/2" RC lift. New UCA's. I also have 1.25" Bora wheel spacers, also on the stock wheels. Did not have to modify the diff skid plate. For the light off-roading I do, even moderate, I am pretty confident that this will be just fine, and I have just over a grand into it. I went all out on my 16 Tacoma with King coilovers and Total Chaos UCA's which cost a pretty penny and I think overkill. I think this fits the bill at least for me.😁
Sorry if you answered earlier, trying to sort through the thread is a pain. This is a 2.5" rc sas lift and uppers on the hoss 3.0?

Since you are running the stock wheels, do you have a side profile pic showing the tire poke with the 1.25 spacers?

Waiting for options for us is killing me. I need a lift damnit.

Thanks

Yes, correct on all accounts. Also I believe this is a good option. Love how it turned out and have absolutely no regrets. I believe 1.25" spacers bring offset to basically "0", which I believe is 4.75" backspacing on the stock 8.5" wheel. Again, I am very happy with how it turned out. Any more would be too much poke. First pic you can see poke, no lift in this one. Second pic is after lift. 😎

is the front lifted higher than the back, or is that just an illusion?

That is an illusion, parked on an uphill angle. It sits nice and level!😎

OK everyone... I'm back. And with a field report.

As a reminder I went full bore RPG 3.0/2.25.

I was recovering from being sick for a while and got frustrated with these collars starring at me from their box... I finally broke and said 'the hell with it'.

I put my sorry self in the Bronco and spun over to Harbor Freight to pick up a set of death compressors. I got home and got the Skinny Raptor up on jack stands and began the surgery...

Although it wasn't that bad getting everything undone and gaining access to the coils the death compressors freaked me out. I have done a number of full suspensions on the floor of my garage, including a full Carli pintop on my Ram 2500 CD, as well as everything from spacers pucks to full coil overs on my FJ and Tundra. But I have never had to use a death compressor.

And let me just say, if you haven't watched the screws literally bend as you tighten them then you have not had the full experience of serious suspension pucker... ya... it was legit.

I would strongly suggest having this done professionally unless you know what you're doing. I would also suggest to those ready to DIY it that you should plan on either getting a DAMN good spring compressor (floor/wall mounted) or removing the spring altogether.

There is no other way if you are going with the largest RPG collars. It's just too hard to get the springs compressed enough to stuff the larger front collars without killing yourself. That is ENTIRELY my own opinion, but I'm sure some badass cowboy on here is gonna say you don't have to remove the coil.

About 2/3 of the way through compression and having not cleared nearly enough room on the fronts I watched those HF specials literally start to bend out and twist and I paused and thought to myself... fuck. this.

I ultimately had the springs compressed at a local shop by some dudes who know their shit and had a SERIOUS wall-mounted compressor. That was just butter... I was so glad I didn't keep going with the HF specials. YMMV... as may your value of personal safety. Like I say, I have no doubt someone else may have kept pushin it, but I thought, nah, not today...

So, really well machined product. IMHO a more involved install than I wanted to tackle on the garage floor. I will say that I wondered the whole time if there was a difference in coil length between the bilstiens and the fox shocks that might have made them easier to compress and fit the collars under the perches... really not sure. I could definitely have of removed the coils and disassembled the shock, and I strongly recommend you plan on that if you're going to attempt this at home in the garage
Did you just do the collars? Any issue with alignment? I see RPG is selling a entire lift kit now for the 3.0 that has UCA and lower rear links. I already bought the collars but am now second guessing myself.

I just did the collars. No issues- but I will say the rear link makes sense. I’ll have to look at what they added. Maybe I’ll pick up the rest.

I’m thinking about the UCA’s and Maybe the lower links. Price is pretty steep. How abut the rear is it still pretty centered or do you think I need a panhard bar?

Ya- good call.... I would say the uppers are ok OE. I was able to get it aligned without a ton of difficulty. So their 'kit' wouldn't really be my move here. I went and checked it out.

No- I'd buy the collars again without hesitation. Still.

But I do agree that your money would be better spent on an adjustable panhard bar. That was the one comment by alignment tech made.

That is not a part of this kit and I have seen them running for around $900. I will still consider this. It's centered for the most part and it overall tracks very well on flat road surfaces. I think it wanders a touch with significant road crown.

Again, all of this is splitting hairs. You don't need the full RPG kit. Those parts are always helpful and may be worth getting depending on use case and tolerances. UCAs always look nice. The rear links would probably be a plus.

But if you're spending additional money consider and adjustable rear panhard bar.

If anyone has a link to solid option I'd like to see it. Just haven't felt the need to research it yet.

I went with the UCA’s and a cheap RC adjustable track bar for now. I’ll probably get the lower and upper links and the Panhard bar from RPG eventually. For now the RC will work. I need to save something to do later. I already have 17k in parts in the garage or on order and it’s not even supposed to be here till late next month.

I just received my RPG collars today. What are the extra bolts and cable clamps for? Also, what size collars did you go with? Any pictures?

Niiiiice. What size tire did you go with? Any rubbing? How do you like the UCAs? Did the alignment tech have any feedback about them or if they made a significant difference?
