help...Why would one buy a Black Diamond over a Big Bend if ordered basically the same?

I’ve wondered the same thing as the OP. There are subtle differences, but it’s up to the buyer to decide what’s important. As for me, I’m way too deep into the White Claws tonight to say what’s what.

They all nearly even out by the time you add any options. Interior color choice is the main factor, unless a V6 is desired.

I haven’t looked much into the differences in the builds today but in 2023 when I order I decided to go with the BD for the following reason, keeping in mind most off roading I do is beach driving.
At the time
Big bend had cloth seats and carpet flooring, plastic bumper without recovery point and I wasn’t in love with the mod bumper (unpopular opinion I know), stock tires are more “street” (granted this can be change)
BD wash out interior and vinyl seats (super big plus for beach driving/surf fishing), stock front and recovery points, stock rear diff lock, stock skid plates (nice to have but not 100% necessary for me), and Rock rails that I like the look and actually ended up useful for getting sand off my boots.
I’m all honestly it was probably a bit more for the black diamond but at the time the washout floor and vinyl seats was a must all others where a plus. If I were to go back and order another bronco today I would honestly be between the BD and the Badlands not the big bend. From a functional perspective to get the big bend to where I personally would want it tires, mod bumper, locking diff, aux switches, and rock rails (which are not an option), the price becomes within a few hundred and at that point I would go for which do I like the looks of better aka rims, and grill.
As far as why I would go for badlands its more so button envy but definitely not needed.

Well there is the rear locker that is standard on the non-sasquatch Black Diamond that is optional on the on the non-sasquatch Big Bend for $795.
Anyway, the right answer is to just order the non-sasquatch Badlands or a Heritage edition if you want to stop at the mid package.
Dual tops is a stupid option. Factory beadlock capable rims are also equally stupid, save your money. Most people are going to run a better rim. Mod Bumper, same, most people are going to replace it with something better. Mod bumper take offs can be had cheaply.
I would much rather spend the money on the 360 cameras and other high/lux package items.

I wanted a 6 cyl, that pretty much eliminated the Big Bend.
That is what is shown here.Wait... really? No molle panel seat backs in the BB? What is the molle strap system listed on the window stickers?
I ask because I haven't seen the inside of a Big Bend since they went to MGV, I just assumed front seat backs would have the molle system.
