Thanks everyone for your replies, I ordered Redline Max Lifts for my new Bronco. Also, really appreciate the installation suggestion on stuffing the rag in the fenders.

You won’t be disappointed. I recently got the carbon kit since I am not a fan of rocking a bunch of branding on my Bronco. Probably not worth the extra cost for the cheap carbon fiber wrap that I could have done myself, but if I was afraid of extra costs I wouldn’t have a Bronco!

Install was a breeze too. Just take your time and you shouldn’t drop anything in the fender. The only annoying part was the clips for the wires that run right there on the passenger side. Could not get them out.

I had the same issue with the clips so left them alone. Not an issue with the install even with them in place.

+1 for Redline. I have them on both my Mustang and Bronco. The CJ Pony Parts installation video is super helpful, because the instructions seemed kinda lacking.

To remove those wire clips use a set of curved 12” hemostats or long curved needle nose pliers. Hemostats can be bought of you know where. Squeeze clip tabs and they pop right out. Wear gloves stuff is sharp on edge of fender.

I hate the hood prop . It’s always screamed cheap to me. The Redline hood struts are nice and work. I don’t know which ones I got but they were less than $50 if I remember correctly and install in minutes.

stuff a rag in the inner fender cause yer gonna drop a ratchet socket or nut some there and the Rag will stop that from happening.
Where was your friendly rag advice about 6 months ago when I let the nut slip out of my fingers, and then spent 3 hours with the flex magnet trying to fish it out from the inner black hole of the hood🤬🤬

Cause that rattle would have driven me bat crap crazy in a matter of weeks.

Don't remember if I did IAG or Stickerfab, but they were priced decent, and have done the job. They may need a slight adjustment, since I occasionally get a false hood is open alarm, but haven't had the time to look into it.

Yup. Drivers side came out easy so I removed it during the install. Passenger side was a pain so I just worked around it. Not really a huge difference but would have made it slightly more convenient.

I do not have any, but will purchase a set of MRT Hood struts soonish. I have the ADV hood, and it does not have the holes and such the OEM has. These hood struts mount to the actual bolts that hold the hood, and to a nut that is not in use on the lower frame of the engine bay. So I can actually use these.

Also, MRT can calibrate their struts for aftermarket hoods that may be heavier than the Stock OEM. They cost a little more, but may be worth it since I cannot use the others.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Yeah, I missed that trick posted by others before, but should have known better. I've got more than a couple stories about dropped nuts, tools, and assorted thing-ma-bobs inside an engine bay over the years.

The nice thing is (and don't hate me here, I'm just the messenger ) you can just remove a couple of the little snap pieces that attach the plastic wheel well liner at bottom of the firewall, and the ratchet will drop right out. Took about 2 minutes to do, but about a half hour to figure out if that would even work.

I can't imagine the cussing trying to fish it out from the top of the fender.

Sorry, bad writing on my part. I lost the nut on the top side, not the bottom. It was not lost in the fenderwell, but inside the hood! You either get lucky with the magnet, you listen to the rattle, or you remove the hood and shake it out of one of the holes. I got lucky with the magnet attempt.

I have learned, don't lay any tools or engine parts anywhere inside the engine bay if you want to keep track of them. They get placed on a table or bench next to the truck, until they are needed.

I got the Ford Performance ones. Ended up free with the Ford points you get because of the Bronco purchase. No shipping charge if you pickup at a local dealer. You should have about $220 or so of value. Generally there is a sale of some kind too of 10-25% off. Got the struts and their heavy cargo mat for about $20 tax included using the points.

Redline just had a sale. Not sure if still ongoing. Might have been along side Amazon Prime days.
Do you have a SKU number? I called my parts department for my 4dr Wildtrak and was told there was no Hood Struts for the bronco, just the Hood Prop. TIA
