had a warning in red come up after driving for about 2 miles, something like prepare for collision on dashboard
then it just went away ??
Bronco running fine ?
wasn't prepared for that

Your Bronco can see dead people.

Every now and then a ghost will be in the road and only your truck will see them. It’s a good feature. You don’t want to clean ectoplasm off the grill, trust me. I couldn’t eat for a day last time that happened.

Yes. It will pop up any time it thinks you're about to get into a collision.

It also could be a dead butterfly stuck on the grille near the camera, etc. Like the other fine folks on the forum have indicated, not to worry.

Kind of a dumb feature, IMO.

Once I was accelerating briskly onto a freeway on-ramp in my F150 and a large bird flew across right in front of the camera, triggering it. Scared the living hell out of me. I had to double check that I had defeated it as much as possible.

I tend to think I know how to drive well enough not to need such a thing. I do have functional eyes and all.

Funny thing here. I got this warning about a week or two into ownership. The only odd thing about that would be that my Bronco is a Base Squatch. Which means I do not have adaptive cruise. I have also got the warning that my adaptive cruise was not available at the moment.


Got to love technology.

Won't lie, it's probably saved me a time or two.

But much more often, it goes off when someone ahead of me is making a right hand turn and I'm moving to get around them. It's very twitchy in wife's Sport, it very very rarely goes off on my Big Bend.

I've only had it flash, it's never hit the brakes or anything. So long as that's all it does I leave it on.

Happens most often when someone is turning right in front of you. You see that they are turning, but the collision avoidance doesn’t see the turn signal flashing, it just sees you closing fast on a car and not slowing down. Normal.

Hence this feature. You're not the audience, but you're stuck in the auditorium regardless.

Yep. Driving on a two-lane road yesterday and an oncoming Tahoe/Suburban started drifting over into my lane. Both front and rear tires completely crossed the centerline. Hit the brakes hard and laid on the horn when they immediately veered back.

I was close to taking the Bronco literally off-road.
