4-dr Wildtrak with stock 35s. 1k miles on odometer and several test trips at constant 55 mph in Normal mode over flat terrain regularly yields 20.0-20.7 mpg on 150 mile trips. Granted a bit boring but actually better than expected. As others have noted, this vehicle was not selected for fuel efficiency….

My 10,000lb Chevy 3500 cube van 6.2 liter gets 12.5 mpg city with 0 effort towards mpg.

it’s just shocking for me I guess
I own a hellcat and gt500. Both do better. Gt500 gets 24mpg on long trips

it’s a $90,000 bronco. Obviously I can afford whatever it is. Just shocking for a 3.0 v6

ford should have done a v8. We’d be doing better w performance and mileage.
your post cracks me up. I get 19 mpg all the time with a tune cruising around 65-70 mph. What do you a box with 37s to get? Those wheels and tires weigh over 100 pounds man.

These EcoBoost engines love to spin. A lower gear with higher RPMs will likely yield better fuel economy than a higher gear with lower RPMs. It is all about keeping it out of boost.
Pro tip:

If you get bored... make a game out of the turbo. Best I've done is 23.5 MPG on a trip from the east coast to Michigan, although had a bit of a tailwind in Ohio that helped.

On my most recent trip I had my Trailrax roof rack on and couldn't get above 19.6 MPG. 😔

But yeah, anything over 65 MPH just kills fuel economy. We're all driving bricks with wheels.

Few days old , 300 miles on it. Did a 150 mile trip. All highway 76 mph. Got 11.9 mpg

im guessing dealer filled it with 87 octane and winds were somewhat strong. But I had hoped for 15mpg +
I have 5000 miles on my Raptor, averaging 15.9 - 16.0 MPG on the east coast In normal driving mode. Sad thing is mine is a rock magnet. In less than 2500 miles, 2 rocks and 1 windshield. I drive typically 8 above speed limit. I know if may not make a difference on the juice, but I only run 93 octane.

On the way home. 16.1 mpg. Exact same road home. 150 miles all highway.

A new tank of gas - 91 octane and less wind

Nutty the difference wind and octane make

Done complaining about mpg :)

I stand corrected. Funny how most people attribute it to Carter when it was Nixon.

What model is it? We just did 550 miles, and got 18.7.

Complaining about fuel mileage isn't a money thing it's an old people thing.
My dad has, well, let's just say more than enough money and he still complains about fuel economy.
Once you hit a certain age I think it becomes a mandatory part of your vocabulary.
I disagree.... I am living proof there are exceptions to that rule. LOL...

Yes, we got lower MPG when brand new, Now, with 5,000 miles on her I get 20 MPG highway and 18 city in winter. It should get much better. Let the fluids break in.
