Back in the day I used
Back in the day we used Ruglyde. Liquid you can spray on all of the rubber components. Hydrocarbon based stuff will destroy or soften all rubber except neoprene. Ruglyde will not attract dirt or stain. Good stuff. Made by American grease stick company
