The bass with the 2ohm is loose and sloppy and the 4ohm is tighter and cleaner. It just sounds better. I don't think I've seen anyone with a failure...

I've been watching it as I am hoping to create a most recommended upgrade list. I did this with the Wrangler JK and around 1000 people did it with 100% satisfaction. For example, the Kicker speakers dominate the bronco upgrades and already I've seen 2 make changes to other brands because the Kickers were too bright and lacked mid and mid-bass.

I agree with the kickers being very bright. I had to turn the treble down just to keep it from being so piercing. I’m interested in seeing what you find. I will say my JL Audio TW3 mounted to the gate is awesome!!!

BUT if you need videos.... I got a playlist on YouTube that goes through the whole project start to finish. Trim removal, speaker install, Forscan mods, etc. etc.

I have a 2022MY Bronco, and I upgraded everything. So it's not exactly the same as your situation, but it'll be very similar. The YouTube videos have chapter markers on them so you can bounce around as necessary to the parts you care about. (I certainly don't expect someone to watch all 2-3 hours of video.)

Did you turn off the EQ setting with Forscan? The highs are boosted to offset the crappy speakers that came stock.

I have not. I did turn on the sub, but did not turn off the EQ. Did you? Sound better? I’ve played wit the amp settings on my two amps enough to where it sounds really good at this point. But like I said that’s with a lot of adjustment.

Nice! I’ve swapped all of the factories but want to replace the 4” pods with 6.5s. That’s next on the list. I also added a 4 channel amp as well as a 500 watt sub amp. Both under the seats.

I know a lot of people are against the onboard storage of the doors but I can see using it on vacation. That being said, do the Mabett 6.5 speaker pods interfere with the door storage? I put them in my wife's 2 door and bought them for the 4 door that is coming (hopefully).

Yeah it's definitely not the best, I'll give you that. I find it helps to Select the "search titles only" box.

You can also try to Google something like this. "bronco6g.com speaker delete"

No. That was my thought on leaving the EQ on. I let the EQ balance the sound. I can use the tune settings in the radio as well as adjust the settings on my individual amps. The 6.75 sub really rounded out the sound, even before I added all the other equipment.

It’s because the 2023MY builds have already been validated at that point.

If they change the build process, they would have to re-validate the 2023MY Bronco with those changes, which means they get to complete a bunch of test builds and send a dozen or so Broncos to the crusher. If you install fake non-functional components… build process doesn’t change and they can keep pumping out Broncos.

I’m sure someone somewhere at Ford did a cost/benefit analysis and determined it was cheaper & faster to do it the way they did it.

It has a “sub” with no magnet and an “amp” with no internal components. I replaced mine with a kicker 6.75 and an actual amp. Plug and play! Works great!

I have a dummy system in my new bronco too. would you happen to still have the kicker and amp part #s. I would like to add the system to my Bronco, I'd really appreciate it.
