If there is a size # stamped on the OEM clamp, they are cheap clamps. Ranger Spline Grease would be the same I would think. I'm greasing my Ranger spines this weekend, I'll see if there is a size number stamped then check those on my Bronco to see if the numbers match
Were you able to determine any details about the clamp?

Don’t over think the clamps, it’s what kept me from doing this sooner. I’ll post a picture of the style of clamp I used, regular cv booth clamp. I inspected it a few days after I did the service when I checked the bolts and to make sure everything was ok. It’s working perfectly.

I don’t think the splines are indexed so it only goes back one way, but honestly didn’t check. Marked an indexing point with a paint marker.

if I do it again, or had to I would maybe clean up the splines that felt gouged though.

Another thing, there is a piece of foam at the bottom of the female half of the shaft. So that little red cap I’ve seen someone else mention can’t be used to add grease from the other end. As it would just sit on top of the foam. Unless you remove it. I think it’s there to let air flow through during articulation, but keep grease in.

Not Yet, There is black paint covering the clamp size. I would think they are close to Ranger size which I did couple weeks ago and the Ranger clamps had size marked on them

After being under my truck after some light off-roading. I've come across this discussion and can offer some insight into the proper clamp of the rear D/S. they are Oetiker toothlock low profile 292 clamps. Front is a 64.5 MM and the rear is a 68.5MM. they require a specialized crimper. I suppose there's little difference from a conventional ear clamp other than perhaps for vibration elimanation because theres no need for the low profile.
