So I was one of the lucky few that got a Bronco last summer. Unfortunately this was before the hard top prep kit was a thing. I was doing my compressor install in the rear cubby I noticed a familiar looking plug and wires behind the driver side cargo panel.

In a discussion of adding a hard top later @flip mentioned a part# I would be interested in. Fired up the google machine and found it as a wire assembly and $40. Eh, lets take a shot.

Got a week or so later from Tasca.com and it appears to be what I'm looking for.

Clicks right in and even has the wire retainer clips to mount in factory locations. Sweet!

Now my hope is that the heated mirror switch on the HVAC controls will activate the rear defrost as the rear defrost button activates the heated mirrors on the vehicles with hard top or hard top prep kit, or at least be able to toggle on with forscan. I'll need to multimeter to check it out if its activating though. I hope this is the case as I looked at replacement HVAC control panel needed and it's $250 bucks. At that point I'll just tell the kids to hold their breath on those days.
I also noticed there is an extra washer hookup on mine. The front one t's off with one going to the front camera and the other to the windshield. If anyone can confirm the other goes the rear I would appreciate it.

I guessing its the 17A605A i'll need? Also, on the one you guys bought the 10k hard top for, did it have the prep kit? Just wondering if i'm on the right track with the heated mirror button. Thanks @flip

No. It was an August '21 build but the replacement coming in a few weeks will.

I have no immediate plans for a hard top but would like one in the future for winter use. This is good news. If I could have the defrost hooked up. Nice find!!👍

You also need the turn signal switch for the rear washer.
Yep, its been bookmarked. That ain't cheap either at $180. Hopefully they'll come down a bit more whenever I get a chance to pickup a top.

What is the part number for the turn signal switch?

@Designkid Any updates on this? If so what are the parts needed to be purchased? I am one of the lucky/unlucky first 1300 Bronco 2021 owners too.

I’m in the same boat and was keeping an eye out for an actual kit becoming available…

Without heated steering wheel - M2DZ-3F791-DB
With heated steering wheel - M2DZ-3F791-CB

Nothing much new to report. Found out we will need some brackets on the top of the roll bar (
M2DZ-78245A26-B and M2DZ-78245A27-B) to secure it on the vehicle run like 100 a pop so....yeah, I'll splurge on those when I actually have a top in my possession.

Appreciate the help! The rollbar mounts may not be needed if you go with are needed even if you go with the ADV aftermarket hard top. At least that is what they are telling me. So from the discussions above I would need the following:

- Turn Signal Switch for Heated Steering wheel - M2DZ-3F791-CB
- Windshield hose - M2DZ-17A605-AA
- Wire Assembly - M2DZ-15A657-A

Possibly needed for factory hardtop:
- Bracket Soft top mounts - M2DZ-78245A26-B and M2DZ-78245A27-B

Anything else?

Either one of these possibly M2DZ-19980-C or M2DZ-19980-D
Haven't dug into switching on the rear defrost yet. Need to get a voltage tester from amazon soon to see if I need to enable anything in forscan as well.

@Designkid appreciate the info! So I think I have another potential issue. When I sold my soft top I sold all the mounting hardware for it. My belief was that I did not need it as I have the Bestop soft top. Did I screw myself?

Don't believe so, just did the same swap this past weekend. The 6 bolts to attach the soft top frame to the vehicle are not needed as well as the rear tailgate latches and rollbar latches. Unless you plan on going back to the factory soft top, they are not needed for a hard top.
