Parking mode for dash cam hardwire kit installed

Bought two dash cams(Viofo), a129 for a Bronco sport and a229 for a Bronco

Works great and captures great, however my problem for both is that once in park mode they just shut off after a few seconds.

Settings are: auto event detect, high sensor, high motion detect, 90 seconds after park, 8 hours.

I used fuse location 29 and 35(Bronco) for battery and when vehicle is on.

Do the bronco just not work with hard wire kits for parking mode ?

If you haven’t figured this out yet, you have to find a fuse that has constant power for the battery fuse tap. Fuse 29 and 35 are both not used so once you shut the bronco off they turn off you have to find a fuse that’s constantly on for parking mode to work.

My Thinkware cam from the Ford accessory page plugs into the OBD port with a T-harness. It is powered 24/7. It has a selectable low voltage cutoff you can enable so as to not completely drain the battery for long periods of just sitting though.

So update for anyone that may stumble onto this.
I went back to look at my fuses(breaking 2 clips along the way).
I relocated the ground to another screw, and I saw that one of the fuses were not fully seated.
Once fully seated and a new ground location, dash cam has been working as intended.

Don’t feel bad I broke clips also. Ordered a bunch off Amazon. I put the 229 in my bronco. It’s a pain in the ass to go through WiFi to pull video I just use a micro SD to usb C and pull it up on my phone. Soo much easier.

There is a easier way with the 229 if you use a 2.0 c-usb cable you can just drag and drop the file you want to your iphone, android or pc. using the rear camera port.
